The difference between India’s bowlers and New Zealand’s bowlers today is that India are using the slower, short-pitched balls much more effectively, and varying the lengths better. That becomes important on a ground like this and can play a big role, where the square boundaries are longer than the straight ones.

Bumrah outsmarted Rachin with a slower ball. A brilliant catch from Ishan Kishan! Taking the pace off the delivery proved crucial.

Boundaries and sixes are inevitable, so good fielding and dot balls will matter a lot. Sharp catches and run-outs could make a big difference to the outcome of the game.

A great last over powered by some superb hitting by Shivam Dube, and this should shift the momentum back in India’s favour. There was a period when New Zealand were in control, but this is a formidable total by India.

Jimmy Neesham’s over and some excellent catching has brought New Zealand back into the game.

Sanju is batting very smartly, knowing whom to attack and whom to defend against. Ishan Kishan has shown superb bat speed and played some unbelievable shots. 275 looks very much possible, it will be a fantastic score!

Not the easiest tournament for Abhishek Sharma, but the team showed belief in his ability. He has repaid that faith with a crucial knock in the final. Well played! 👏🇮🇳 Ishan Kishan bringing real momentum to the innings, and Sanju Samson continuing his reliable run.
