Driving in a thunderstorm can be nerve wracking! TURN ON YOUR HEADLIGHTS and windshield wipers. Reduce your speed to avoid hydroplaning. If there is large hail, pull off to the side of the road, turn on your hazard lights, and remain buckled up in your vehicle.

Fire season is here and can affect roads anywhere in Kansas. Avoid driving into thick smoke and active fire areas. Keep the road clear for first responders. If you see a fire, pull over in a safe location and report it.
