Here's a newsletter that goes more in-depth about my journey :

But to answer your question, my journey was hard, and I think everyone who is self-taught is going to have a difficult journey.
Because for me, learning by yourself is hard. I was full of self-doubt because I asked myself all of these questions. Am I studying the right things? Am I doing enough? Do I actually have what it takes to succeed?
Those questions were continuously on repeat, and the only way to silence them was to keep going. I had to watch tutorials, ask questions, build projects, and then fail. It was full of frustration, but I had to remind myself I chose this and I couldn't quit because I wanted to improve my life.
It took me two years of this, but I got my first job. I had to reach out to people on LinkedIn, post content on LinkedIn in to get noticed as well and I'm an introvert so it was really hard for me but I had to do something different if I wanted change.
My advice to you is to build projects that hold interest to you. Post them online and take about what you did, talking about your success and failures. Open source and contribute to some projects. Just get out there because you never know who is watching.
Just believe in yourself because that is what will keep you going. Belief in myself is what kept me going, and remember why you are doing this!
