Anyone with more than two braincells understands that no video game company should be allowed to delete a finished, marketed product days before its release as if it had never existed in the first place. Millions of dollars, obtained through live-service monetization, completely up in smoke. It sets a precedent that companies can just not release product for a subjective reason; they felt "pressured" to do so.
And yet, that is exactly what @Love_Deepspace did with the character Valko. After promoting the 6th character to its players with full trailers, gameplay, official merch and a hired cosplayer for Anime Expo 2026 and only one week before his debut, the company Infold/PaperGames caved under Chinese radfem pressure to delete him entirely "for the sake of women's safety". Keep in mind this is most likely the same group who target other gacha games such as Snowbreak.
It needs to be emphasized that Valko was ERASED. Not pushed back for further development. Not released and then taken back after backlash. He was erased BEFORE his marketed release. He was a FINISHED PRODUCT.
Games journalists @IGN @Dexerto and gamer YouTubers @ALegendaryDrops @_Hero_Hei_ @Asmongold @MoistCr1TiKaL @TheActMan_YT @Muj_in @OrdinaryGamers I implore you to look at the situation through this lens. This is more than just female players mad at an otome game. This is a boycott and protest for gamer rights, that companies can't just take our money, market a finished product, and then refuse to release that product over a subjective reason.
