@MGecko117 It's pointing out an unnecessary negative headline fact that just leads to more people ignoring the expansion. As Destiny Bulletin's audience relies on D2 players, it's a dumb choice for them. The same "fact" could have been ... players surged again from recent lows, etc.

Many people are calling this 'rage bait' and unnecessary hate-mongering, even though anyone with an internet connection can fact-check the numbers. EoF launched with 100k active players on Steam on day one, which was lower than any previous expansions, and Renegades only had 70k, a 30% drop in player counts. This is a numerical fact by the most literal definition of the term. People who get defensive about stuff like this are doing more harm than good because denial and toxic positivity have a proven record of killing games.

Destiny community still miserable asf. Campaign was great, so I’m choosing to leave it at that for now. I have no want to grind Destiny 2 anymore and that makes me shitty apparently. But if I glaze it anymore I’d be a shill, or I could play it every day and hate it, and then people would just say move on. Like D2 community make up your mind and pick a struggle.
