@TBM_JY It depends on the size of your conference. PAC12 is tiny. if you have 8-10 teams and you play everyone you usually don’t need one. They were willing to do a flex schedule this year so maybe do a flex last game in the future for tiebreakers or something.

Thought this couldn’t be true so I looked up Halliburton’s 10-K and sure enough, they paid half a billion dollars in income taxes last year. Not all of it federal, but that’s inconvenient to Bernie’s point. They also employed about 45,000 people that paid income taxes.

We aren’t 200+ Net (for your buy games) and aren’t in the ACC / SEC for your neural games. We can’t get in state Big12 teams to play us. 🤷‍♂️

Because I know UL and Clemson would only agree to play neutral, so that’s our fault? And we should hold out for teams that will agree to do a home and home!??

Based on the banter between the fanbases of late, I think College Hoops needs a Utah State-Cincinnati matchup next season at a neutral site!

@thedude000 @elchapin92 @ctownforever I know nothing about their scheduling goals but if last year is any indication I wouldn’t bet on it. Scheduled 1 road game and 3 neutral site games (2 in Cincinnati 😂). All good teams though. I would take those if they’d play us.

@mcuban $1000 a month in the HSA - less than half what the ACA plan would be and I am still saving a little money each month for the future. We are done having kids though - this plan would have probably sucked during that time of our lives but the ACA would have too.

@mcuban So close to what I do. Family of 5. I used to have a great plan with my employer (they paid about $2100 I paid about $550 a month). Now we do Medishare $12k deductible ($350 / Month) Direct Primary Care ($275 - not me just the rest of my family) No dental - we just pay for that

What if there was a bank account available, that required you to deposit monthly, what you would have paid an insurance company in premiums, for an ACA silver plan. So for a family of 5 about $2100. The amount would then be used for Stop Loss Insurance set at $30k dollars. About $300. Another $200 would be used for local Direct Primary Care for your family The balance would be in YOUR bank account. Like an HSA, It could only be used for approved medical expenses. If you never have any medical expenses, you will get to keep the money plus checking act level interest, when you turn 65 If you have a medical event that is more than what you have saved, your bank will loan you the money you need to pay for it, up to the $30k stop loss trigger You would repay that amount using the monthly $1600 net deposit. Once the loan is paid off, the deposits start to accrue to you again. This is not insurance. It’s a specially designed bank account that gives you control, support, a doctor to work with and catastrophic financial protection. Lots of work and issues to be addressed. But I was curious what people think Let me know !

@MrBeavv There are very schools left the P2 will want. I think all the conferences survive. If anything they want to demote a few back to a mid 3 conference. When they figure out how to kick schools out of a conference the shuffle will get crazy.

3 potential outcomes will happen between the Big 12, Pac 12, and ACC by 2030. 1. 3 way merger with a combo of teams from all conferences 2. ACC has a mad exodus and will backfill with top PAC 12 teams to bridge coast to coast gap 3. ACC collapses and teams go to PAC 12 or Big 12

First it was UNLV. Now it’s New Mexico. Who is next? Nevada? PAC fans just can’t get away from the Mountain West.

@BradenTClark Aggies have lost a few good players but have overall benefited from the transfer portal even though we haven’t paid that much in the past. With recent donations we should do even better but we’ll see. Most teams are paying a LOT more now too.

The unfortunate reality of college sports at the mid major level, is that it's the ultimate game of pick up basketball. You really have to strike gold every year. Because your best guys/coaches will most likely move on to somewhere else next season. Especially if you're good. The fact certain mid majors survive every year is remarkable.

They will have a lot of pressure to do well the first few years while they do have more money though. (Especially OSU).

I don’t think that’s realistic for anyone in the sport outside of the Alabama/Ohio State types. All I’m saying is to act like WSU will be some bottom feeder in this league is insane…

I’m sorry but OSU and WSU should come into the new Pac-12 with the mindset that they should destroy everyone else in conference play. No disrespect to the other 6 members but you go from playing Oregon, UW, USC, etc to Texas State and Colorado St. 10 wins SHOULD be standard.
