In my mind the biggest thing the CHL is fighting against is the growing perception that the CHL is a high school league and if you want to “become a man” you need to make the jump to college.
It’s going to become increasingly status-lowering to *still* be playing CHL when you’re 19 or 20.

For the last time: US military spending is NOT NATO funding! Never was, never will be. It was done in pursuit of the false promise of liberal hegemony, to fill the pockets of the military industrial complex, and to overthrow Israels enemies. No European country ever lobbied the US to keep military spending so insanely high. Trump now even wants to bloat it further to $1.5T. As a defensive alliance, NATO would have had the same deterrence if the US had only spent half as much. But it was never that. It always existed to keep Russia out, and Germany down.

We are so superior to everyone else, and so charitable and kind and helpful, that unfortunately many of the lesser countries on the globe have become welfare queens who expect us to coddle, care for, fund, fight for and protect them. We are the parents who have taken good care of our children, but have not forced them to contribute enough, or earn their own keep, and now they are spoiled, ungrateful, and helpless. It’s time to cut the umbilical cord and force the rest of the countries to stand on their own two feet. We can’t do everything for everyone.

I share about 100 yards of drive way with my ~70yr old neighbors.
For some reason he’s obsessed with knocking down the center grass in the middle of the tire ruts and covering it with gravel. He talks about it all the time, probably 30% of all conversations I have with him are about this. He’s asking if I want to pitch in for more gravel, etc.
When I put my parents in a guest house behind the barn, my dad started talking about it too. He got some roundup and sprayed his section of road.
Am I missing something here? I see no problem with it. It looks fine. It occupies 0% of my mind. I’m prepared to spend 0 dollars to remedy this “problem”
