I keep finding new reasons MoonPod is better than a space suit. 1. Ease of entry/egress 2. Mass produceable with robots 3. Safety 4. Doubles as pressurized rover 5. Doubles as escape pod 6. Doubles as a robot 7. Allows telepresence 8. Can auto return in a health emergency

I’m eavesdropping on two middle-aged couples talking at the local breakfast spot. Good news: they’re talking about moon bases and Mars missions. Artemis definitely broke through into civilian consciousness. Bad news: the levels of ignorance and confident misunderstanding are terrifying. (1) Artemis never left the Earth’s atmosphere. (2) If they had, the radiation would have killed them. (3) Moon landings are fine, but bases are silly, since humans can’t live on the Moon. (4) A trip to Mars would take years in transit. (5) Elon Musk has cancelled his plans for a Mars mission. And on and on… And of course, from one of the women, (6) we should be spending all this money here on Earth. I’m keeping my mouth shut. With difficulty.

@StephenFleming Just from a physic issue, if you're body assumes a force of 1 and a force of 0 is proven to be damaging, then it's pretty easy to assume that .16 force will have a damage level very close to that of 0 force.

@StephenFleming Pretty sure we're going to find that it's a nearly linear issue, with an ability to totally adapt to about 20-25% more or less gravity. And children may adapt automatically as they grow, to a higher range. Children born on Mars may be perfectly healthy, maybe slightly super human
