@SyphoticART May I ask how did you get those wishlists? Do you market your game on different socials or do you already have a following from previous games? I got around 60k views on my videos and thousands of likes across different socials and I only got around 60 WL 🙃

Most gamedevs still haven't learned this important lesson: Vincent went all-in on this second game and failed, but rather than giving up, pivoted into something small and fun and it took off. My takeaway is: validate your ideas as quickly as possible. Don't sink years and thousands of dollars into a moonshot idea that isn't validated. You can make something fun and simple in a few days. What an awesome case-study. Go Vincent!

I'm experimenting with PS1 style graphics and I tried playing the game with a lower resolution and guys holy shit this looks so much better. I'm sticking with this from now on, but I gotta change my whole Steam page and trailer now 😭😭 #gamedev #indiedev #screenshotsaturday

Indie game dev video are like "My indie game FAILED! I wasted 5 YEARS of my life! How it can happen to you too plus 5 tips to avoid it!" Meanwhile their game is called something like "Scrimblos Comfy Quest" and all you do in it is wander around talking to NPCs about depression.
