Trash pickup day 1,341. This was a 200 minute pickup. #EarthCleanUp My friends and I cleaned over 1,000 lbs out of an abandoned homeless encampment in the park today. Much of this trash was getting taken away by flash floods and brought to the creek.

@buitengebieden This would make a wonderful Disney type film for children...until they invisorate someone's kitty.

Eaton Creek has got some gorgeous mountain creek water! Be careful attempting to reach the waterfall this weekend. Water levels are high and rocks are wet. Air rescues have already happened this year from people slipping and injuring themselves.

@edgarrmcgregor @NWSLosAngeles I hope this will not be a repeat of the wind storm of 2011. With the ground so saturated, we could lose a lot of trees.

Hmm... all 4 high resolution models bring a hefty Santa Ana into the Pasadena-La Canada-La Crescenta corridor Sunday night. Usually models back down on the 00z runs the day before, but not this time. WRF cross sections show 65+ MPH gusts. This will be a big one. @NWSLosAngeles

I feel incredibly left out. I love thunderstorms and I am missing a rare one. There is an even better chance tomorrow afternoon. I love the rain. I go stand outside in it on purpose. I haven't seen rain since April if you don't count the 3 minute light shower in June. *sigh*

I will pick up trash in Eaton Canyon every time I visit. Anyone else?

What an incredible canyon. From 900' in elevation all the way up to 6,200'

Trash pickup day 1,111. This was a 120 minute pickup. #EarthCleanUp A simply astounding hike at 5,800' in my home park. I had a hard time choosing where to get my video. There were so many incredible spots! Massive photo dump below.

Someone built a campfire at the waterfall today. It takes a couple seconds for an ember to land in brush on the cliffside above them, maybe 15 minutes to light the mountainside on fire, and then a couple hours for homes to start being destroyed.

Before and after of two of our trash cans in our park today. They were overturned last night by bears. Image 1 is 4:38 PM and image 2 is 4:50 PM. A fed bear is a dead bear. We have to have bear safe cans out here!
