Hugging your loved one or listening to Froberger's music is more pleasant than doing weed and many other drugs

"Pol Pot was actually CIA" "Caucescu was actually CIA" "Jaruzelski was actually CIA" "Gorbachev was actually CIA" "Honecker was actually CIA" Was there a single communist leader who wasn't CIA according to you lot?
Agus 🇦🇷 🏳️‍⚧️@Agus_HQ

@The_Davos_Man "Pol Pot's communist regime" You mean the CIA backed and US armed dictatorship that actively opposed communists both inside Cambodia and in the region? You'll blame tankies for everything, man!

@ZacharyMarsica1 @oldGrunger the USSR is anti-Russian, but European countries can also experience totalitarian regimes and conquer neighbors (see Germany and Italy) we were just less lucky, but yes USSR has made us further from Europe, I hope we reverse it

Мне, русскому человеку, родившемуся во времена СССР, никогда не приходила в голову мысль называть себя европейцем. Не хочу никого обидеть, убеждён: Россия — это самостоятельная цивилизация со своей душой и особым предназначением в истории человечества

@BeSaintly Complexity is an ancient human construct. Now with modern science we discover that many things are very complex, which we didn't grasp the idea of, but genes and cells have never known the notion of complexity, they just clinged to the most stable forms

When White people kill someone, they usually kill because of personal grievance or over an argument, but random impulsive attacks on passerbies seems like an entirely Brown thing

Is anime Christian? Replying to the dumbest take of the day. 1) anime isn't a monolith. There are anime which themes are left or center leaning as well. It only seems conservative because in general Japan is more conservative than the current West. 2) Japan is inherently and culturally a Pagan country (Shintō and Buddhist). Most of the motifs, themes and cultural trappings come from this. Regardless of the lies media and Academia will try to spread about Japan being atheist or non religious or Christianity growing. Christianity isn't growing and Japanese people answer those polls differently due to cultural understanding of religion. 3) There seems to be a thing of Western Christians taking depictions of Christianity as meaning Japan is Christian. There are very few Christians in Japan and it is not a growing religion. A few converts interviewed here and there on YouTube doesn't make an evangelical "revival". Also the majority of Christian groups in Japan have views and approaches that would be alien to Western Christians. As I have stated before Japan likes to display Europe as some Christo-Pagan mix. Mixing magic and alchemy and Runes with Crosses and Chruch imagery. It's edgy and foreign and "magical". That and writing stories about a Western setting and making the characters feel culturally from that setting, even if they are Christian, is a popular thing. Just like the West likes anime and movies set in the East or a fantasy East. Christians in the West often feel like they have to make media that is good Christian to enjoy it otherwise it would be unacceptable for them to consume. They thereby see allegory everywhere as a coping mechanism. I feel bad for them tbh. Because just like Islam, enjoying things with magic, sexuality, or certain themes would be unacceptable otherwise. Lastly there is a bit of subverisve conversion tactic going on. Where if you make something popular "Christian" you now can use it to push a message. They probably hope that even me replying to this is spreading their message... Some of the most popular anime right now are extremely Shinto-Buddhist themed. Images: 1. Mononoke: literally a spirit possessed exorcist who fights demons with Onmyodo magic. 2. Juujutsu Kaisen: clans of Onmyodo like sorcerers use Mudra, spells, and Ki to defeat demons while summoning familiar. All based in Eastern myth and magic. 3. Hell's Paradise: I have written about this a few times. The whole anime is themed based on Taoist magic and horror elements. 4. Demon Slayer: Probably one of the most traditionally themed Japanese anime right now. It's narrative is almost inherently and completely Buddhist in nature. P.S. No your magical elf Frieren who casts spells isn't Christians coded because she fights demons. "Demons" aren't a Christian thing. Evil beings orn"demons" exist in all forms of Paganism and Indo-European beliefs and Christians get their "demons" from Jews who amd Greeks. Jews who were informed from Mesopotamia and Zoroastrianism and Greeks who had an idea of Cacodemon. They dont have a monopoly on good vs evil. Also Goku doesn't pray to Jesus like all the Sputh Americans like to think.

Anime is inherently right wing and Christian. Do you agree?

@Rothmus He didn't join a "religious cult" By the 1950s, Slinky sales were declining and Richard became affiliated with an evangelical Christian sect.[7] In 1960, Richard went to Bolivia to join Wycliffe Bible Translators,[8] leaving behind his wife, six children <...>
