Not sure how I feel about stuff like this. On one hand it’s great to see Backrooms being recognized because of the success of the movie. But on the other hand these large studios and brands are just jumping on the bandwagon and it kind of takes away from what the Backrooms represent. In the past when a larger brand mentioned Backrooms it was cool to see because it wasn’t expected. Also with any of this kind of stuff where does tasteful parody/crossover end and brainrot begin. I myself made Backrooms Pokemon images when I first became a fan because I thought it was cool to combine two things I love. But now days I’m always hesitant to create such images unless there’s relevancy to them because I don’t want people thinking I’ve made brainrot. I’m very much against brainrot type content when it comes to the Backrooms. IMO it hurts the reputation of the Backrooms with people thinking thats what the Backrooms are. And while some Brainrot content is very obvious that it is such (especially video content) others can be open to interpretation. What one might see as Brainrot, others will see as a simple crossover, a meme or fan parody. Almost daily I see pics of various characters in the Backrooms and my instant reaction is to cringe. But how is that any different to the Pokémon images I created?

what got me to explore this initially was Wyll in bg3. the fact that he is a key part of the story and hugely related to so many major characters but so many people miss recruiting him because he can unceremoniously die at the start of the game and isn’t auto revived like laezel
