Update: I am back in India. @msfbeast007, me and my colleague Aditya, were on the first repatriation flight back from Doha to Delhi yesterday. Feeling relieved and just soaking in everything at the moment. I am also glad my colleagues from the industry @varunkrish @tina_1095 @Tarunpathak managed to head back home before we did. The adventurous bunch who took a land route to Saudi and took a flight back. I need to thank a few people, though. Because, while some humans are waging a war, some others are helping people in a global crisis. I am grateful to be doing the work I do. Because on the very first day, @innamiqbal -- who watches my content and works for @qatarairways -- helped many stuck like me get their bags on time and book flights back home. His colleagues, Thoufeeq, Hisham, and Satish also deserve special mentions here. You have to understand they were working 16-20 hour shifts with no holidays! And yes, Mr. Harish Pandey from @IndEmbDoha deserves a special thanks too. From facilitating quick Visas for Saudi to giving us updates about repatriation flights, Harish and his team at the embassy -- did everything they possibly could to help us! Finally, the Pullman Hotel in Doha -- you have my heart! The hotel kept the grocery store in the property open for 24 hours, slashed laundry prices down to 50% of the original price, and more. This is aside from offering us three meals and giving us rooms! There are many, many stories to tell. But, I will save that for a later date when I feel more centered. It'll take a while because while we are back...the war is not over yet. And, I am still following it closely along with following up with people who are still trying to get back from Doha through the WhatsApp group that Varun and I created. Hey @Cleartrip I have an Etihad flight booking that is impacted due to the ongoing airspace closures. Eithad website says I need to contact you for refund. But your app and website shows ₹0 refund. Please help asap.

So, it's been 7 days since we've been stuck in Doha. I wanted to share a few updates, since I have been getting a lot of calls/messages: 1. We have no relief flights from Doha to India yet. And, there's no visibility in the horizon either. 2. Indian Embassy of Qatar is mostly incommunicado. The phone lines are near-impossible to connect to. This is adding to the anxiety of many stranded Indian passengers here. @IndEmbDoha I know because we have a WA group to help share information. 3. Accommodation and food are still being provided. And, Qatar Airways has a 24hr help desk at our hotel. 4. Many folks have managed to exit out through Riyadh and Saudi Arabia with on-arrival VISAs (note that you need a stamped UK, US, or Schengen VISA for the same). We haven't done that yet because one of our colleagues doesn't have that option. 5. Thankfully, the embassy @IndEmbDoha has offered to facilitate VISAs for the same but with the caveat that they need 48 hours to respond. I believe -- considering the emergency -- it should be handled faster. Also, the form requires us to share onward flight ticket from any Saudi AIRPORT. What date should we book it for, if we have no clarity on how long it will take for us to get a VISA? Truth be told, I started off calm and composed, despite the loud blasts, and the sirens. But now, the anxiety and frustration is setting in. It is further exasperated by the fact that many folks have been able to get out of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. @DrSJaishankar @MEAIndia if you could help all the stranded passengers here and help us in anyway possible, that would be great.
