I think one key difference between Christian and Muslim fasting lies in how the body responds.
Between day 4 - 8 during Christian fasting, your body tends to adjust more quickly to the new eating pattern, the cravings gradually subside, dehydration becomes less noticeable, and the urge to eat diminishes as you go further. Then you glow differently, your physical change becomes noticeable from day 10.
At the same time, there’s often a noticeable shift toward a deeper desire for quiet reflection, studying the Bible, and seeking to hear from God. You barely look forward to the next meal and your body will push back if you eat heavy. You feel refreshed and sensitive. Its always a great experience.
