@nathanwhite__ @BIGsheep If it helps Nathan, there’s a free download of the 1st mission from Hitman 2 that you can try first (search for Hitman 2 Starter Pack). It’s pretty slight - basically the tutorial - but given all 3 games are very similar, if you enjoy it, the rest of them are a pretty safe bet!

@Mr_Fellblade @tomkelgrove @crashworth @JessBoneBreaker To add (very slightly) to the useful conversation here: I found myself needing to express the same thoughts just recently and still reached for “simple”, “obvious”, “intuitive” and “straightforward”. All basically synonyms and none passing the subjectivity test. Words are hard.

Most technical solutions need to optimise for "simple"- i.e. quick and easy to implement and maintain. The problem with the phrase "simple" is that people take this to mean "simple and clever" or "simple and elegant", especially inexperienced programmers

In particular part about how ECS seems incompatible with most gameplay code. The Kruger system looks like a good compromise, looking forward to seeing more in the future

@ZipLockBagMan @Bobby_Anguelov Having now watched the whole thing I certainly have opinions but always worthwhile to hear a take. For the Rare folks; some of the Kruger principles brought to mind Rocket which, while imperfect, attempted similar compromises. We really do just solve the same problems in a loop!

@BIGsheep @yearlyboar Picross S4 on the switch has a couple of 30x40 grids JT but be prepared to squint if you’re in handheld mode. That said, pen & paper picross is now everything I want in life!
