@JuiceSSH This update seems to have resulted in a bunch of 'ligatures' so typing '...' or '>=' no longer renders as the sequence of characters actually typed. How can I turn that off, please?

3) Updated terminal font to Delugia Code. This monospaced terminal font is based on Cascadia Code, but patched with Font Awesome and Powerline glyphs. Updating the terminal font to this (from DroidSansMono) was necessary as a part of fixing the above rendering bug.

@MatthiasKonner1 @jpakkane @nirbheek @xclaesse 1) Because I have never used cmake. 2) Because Meson is young enough that we had the ability to shape the few missing features that we needed. 3) Because when it comes to build systems no one ever says "it's possible but you shouldn't do it". Meson has the courage to say "no".

AND IT'S THERE!!! #QEMU *has* switched to #Meson. Thanks @jpakkane, @nirbheek, @xclaesse and everybody else in the QEMU and Meson communities! If I ever embark again into rewriting 10.000 lines of Makefiles, please remind me that it is not a good idea for my sanity.

@MathBrush moleski.net/newsgroups/not… quotes 'Yowie' saying they did this in 'one cat group' -- it might have been a thing for one or two specific groups but I don't think it was widespread.

I swear I heard once that, back in the Usenet days, some people would respond to trolls by posting recipes. I'm trying to find some sources on this, but I can't find any. Does this sound real to anybody from back then?

@networkrail if you close the crossing at Foxton to road and rail it would be a good idea to tell your rail replacement bus drivers and allow more time for the diversion they need to do as a result...
