@Potential_issue I don’t think any of those outfits shown in OPs post meet the criteria for criticism or rejection. Veiling is scripture. Casual clothing is not. We can encourage people to be better yes, but everyday clothing isn’t something to waste time on imo. Seems like nitpicking at best.

@woggles If someone comes to church in only rags it also gives an opportunity for charity to clothe them and help them. As you know, when you go to monasteries they have chests at the entrance with men’s shirts and sometimes even long pants and head coverings and shawls for women.

@Potential_issue The intent is to worship Christ regardless of attire. I understand your point and respect the church clothes argument but from what I understand the intent to worship supersedes what one is wearing during worship. Christ wasn’t turning away the beggars dressed in rags.

@woggles The difference is intent. Are people intentionally being casual or are they new/coming in from work/before work etc. For 99% of parishioners though there’s no reason you can’t follow what is effectively business casual.

@Potential_issue "dress code" is circumstantial. no Priest is turning away someone for wearing shorts and a tank top to saturday or sunday service. Hell ive been to service in my bathing suit multiple times because our Priest would walk past the beach in the mornings to remind us not to be late.

@woggles Your first miss. When we attend church we are present before God and the heavenly host. We should treat this with reverence in both our action, speech, and dress. We should wear the best we have. Whether that’s jeans and a polo or a full suit. Church isn’t and shouldn’t be casual

Was in the micro compact carry gun rabbit hole for quite awhile. Needed something smaller than my Glock 19. Handling a baby during mass has gotten tricky when appendix carrying. Also wanted to hip carry for suit wear. Wanted something hammer fired, still in 9mm, and wasn’t a awful shooting gun being 9mm and small. That narrowed the list down a lot. I landed on the Smith & Wesson CSX E-series. Very neat gun. Feels great. Nothing but positive reviews. Can’t wait to shoot it.
