the daughter of someone's sister has a low probability of having the same last name as the person himself, especially in a patriarchal society. #JustSaying

Important PSA: Prisoners of war are not hostages Whether accidental or not, using the word "hostage" to describe a fighter pilot in foreign custody is actively doing propaganda on behalf of imperialism

people, individuals, not governments (as the post alludes to) everywhere are collectively punished and forbidden to participate in the global economy. not allowed to use banks, credit cards, font tech products of all kinds. people in Palestine and Lebanon to name a few. 🤷🏽‍♂️

A few years ago, my husband — a cycling enthusiast — invested almost $300 in a “built to last” balance bike from @LittleBigBikes for our kids, specifically because parts could be replaced over time. Today, as our youngest needs new pedals and brakes, the company refuses to ship to Israel. Not to a government — to customers. Companies are, of course, free to take political positions. But refusing to serve individuals based solely on where they live is not a “peace stance.” It’s collective exclusion and discrimination. People who oppose boycotts should know where this company stand.

Idiot reporters acting as foreign agents of destruction. IDIOTS!

Only one bridge is left to connect to the coastal city of #Tyre after #Israel bombed seven bridges crossing the Litani, practically isolating #Lebanon’s south. If that bridge gets struck too, it would create “a humanitarian disaster,” an official in Tyre told me. 15% of the city’s 60k residents remain despite Israel’s forced evac orders. Report coming soon @PBS @NewsHour.

Every accredited FOREIGN journalist who wishes to cover SOUTH LEBANON MUST: 1- Acquire a permit from the Ministry of Information (without it, you will be in breach of the law) 2- Acquire a "South Lebanon MEDIA COVERAGE" permit from the Army (renewable every month)... NOT a permit for foreigners to visit South Lebanon, which the Intel unit in Saida provides to foreign visitors of the South.. The foreign visitors' permit does NOT entail any foreigner to conduct a MEDIA COVERAGE in South Lebanon, and if the visiting foreigner carries out media coverage with such a "foreign visitors' permit", then she/he would be in breach of the laws... SOME Foreigner recently claimed that she had a Lebanese Army permit to cover the events in South Lebanon. Her permit is a visit permit NOT coverage permit.. so beware of those people who work illegally in Lebanon and who try to insinuate they have the right permits. (REAL JOURNALISTS know the difference between permits) BEWARE THAT: 3- Entering Lebanon on a visit visa and working without permits makes the FORIGNER subject to prosecution... 4- Threatening/ attempting to intimidate an ACCREDITED NATIVE LEBANESE JOURNALIST for raising concerns and questions about the LEGALITY of that FOREIGNER's presence and work, is also a breach of the law in Lebanon. 5- NOT being accredited as a reporter in your native foreign country, NOR in Lebanon and claiming to be a journalist or a freelance journalist, means you are IMPERSONATING being a reporter/journalist and that is a breach of law.
