The minimum wage is $11+ in New York State. Across the border in Pennsylvania, it's still just $7.25. Yet so far, there has been no evidence of significant job loss, even in border counties. Really nice deep-dive from @jeannasmialek: nytimes.com/2019/11/13/bus…

HUGE strike happening now in New England: 31,000 Stop and Shop grocery workers off the job. Setting aside teachers, looks to me like the biggest U.S. strike since Verizon in '16. Fight is over health care costs and pension cuts for new hires.
