If we manually measure the original NASA image recently shot by the crew aboard Orion during Artemis II, it’s about 2,905 pixels across the equator, and about 2,894 pixels across the polar axis.
That gives: 2905 / 2894 = 1.0038
So the equator appears about 0.38% wider than the pole. 🤓 the Earth is not perfectly round in the image.
In real life, Earth is about 7,926 miles at the Equator with a Polar diameter of about 7,900 miles
That’s a difference of about 0.33%.
So yes, the image matches reality just fine. 👍🏼

Bua tu comentario me ha hecho acordarme repentinamente de un vídeo de Siria si no me equivoco donde un soldado está grabando en primera persona dentro de un edificio pero muy cerca de una puerta que da al exterior, y cae una granada de mortero justo enfrente por fuera del edificio y sale un chorro de sangre que casi parecía falso (le dio una esquirla en una arteria) y no me acuerdo de mucho más, esos vídeos casi siempre los veo por accidente, pero doy por hecho que el que grababa falleció. Se me ha quedado mal cuerpo al acordarme y pues ya que se te quede mal cuerpo a ti también por hacerme acordarme 🤷
