How do I play games? Behold! my blade! The black box is for controlling directions with the feet. Left, Right with the left foot, Down, Up with the right foot. The white box has every other action one should need, except joysticks (still pondering that one).

Fighting games are better when the characters are defined by match-ups and not tiers. And the deeper we get into the era of fighting games being patched constantly. The better off we'll be if Counter Picking is far far better than META Picking.

And people wonder why fighting game developers are removing motion inputs. It's not to spit on your skills, there's just no good way to verbally communicate inputs. Even when you know the jargon it's so hard to follow someone speaking it.

@sanderson1611 It really is a sign of an unwillingness to change. Because even just noticing that the Moon is round is an easy clue that the Earth is round too. Maybe people can get to be so stubborn that their brain essentially turns to stone.

The best way to get rid of fake accounts, bots, evil people, Judases, weirdos, fools, etc., is to just immediately block anyone who is flat earth. Flat-earthers are always stupid, wicked, or both. Usually both.

A thing that often confuses me about the FGC when a game is in a bad state or particularly when a number of characters are in a bad state. Couldn't you just ban characters in tournaments as a collective? It'd sure send a message if 95% of the cast was banned.

@InVaines I'm still having fun with Tekken 8, but it may be because I play it in a way I enjoy. It's like, how many games would be unfun if you had to play it like a speedrunner? I mean, just because you can glitch to the final boss doesn't mean you can no longer play the game normally.

Sleeping, waking, and multiple times per day. I force myself to laugh at mistakes I make now as a way to cope with this. Because if I don't soak even the smallest negative memory in laughter, it may haunt me for 20 years before I finally get passed it.

I've been fighting bouts of discouragement in learning Japanese. It helps to realize just how far I've come. To think about concepts that were surprising a month ago yet now feel like common sense. Just that coming to terms with the long road yet ahead hasn't been so easy.

@SebboTK Agreed, and even if there is a counter argument to be made. What makes a character cool in Tekken should be strong. So much character identity is lost when Paul Phoenix and others are throwing out d/f+2, because the reward far outweighs a deathfist ( qcf+2 ).

I'd be fine with d/f+2's if they were actually cool looking. But I get a bit sad to see Paul Phoenix players not use deathfist at all, because the trash looking d/f+2 is just so much more reward. Strong tools in Tekken should be cool tools, not this lame duck boring bullcrap.

Safe generic df2s have the most SKEWED risk-reward ratio & stacked properties out of every EXISTING Tekken button, and it's about time something is done about it in an environment where any launcher necessarily means a half-life, wall-to-wall combo Time to address the superbutton

With this and other posts saying that Tekken 8 ranked is broken. I'm just going to park it at Tekken King (my rank in S2) and play in the Tekken Lounge. With the accessibility controller I have to use to be able to play it. I really don't want any false accomplishments.

I feel like people take it as a challenge when they ask for my advice about something. I assist and do extra research to help them, and what happens? They disregard it, and come back later to ask how to fix their mistake. I really hate being hard-wired to help sometimes...

@beejayaye_808 Could be that Xiaoyu hasn't been as radically changed by Tekken 8 as others. So, Xiaoyu players keep up the grind and remain as others uninstall the game. And we're the least likely to rage when we lose over Tekken 8 stuff, because Xiaoyu has always had the hard knock life.

@Speedkicks AI has certainly complicated it aswell. But you know, better artists, better thinkers, and so forth existed before and that didn't stop the journey. It also takes maturing to realize that you likely won't be the first or best, but if you work really hard, it'll surely matter.
