But here’s where the story gets interesting
The land was in Guradi Ghat, near Kolar, It was farming land, so the price was much lower than residential land, The group reportedly bought around 5 acres for about ₹5.5 crore
Then, about a year later, a huge ₹3,200 crore Western Bypass road project was approved near that same area
And when a big road comes near land, the land price usually shoots up
Later, the land use was reportedly changed from agricultural to residential, That means land that was once meant for farming could now be used for houses and development
Now the same land is reportedly worth around ₹55 to ₹65 crore

The loss was paused during the election campaign and once the elections are over, OMCs losses are suddenly a cause of concern.
In short, elections were more important than curbing losses of OMCs (mostly public sector - so another hitjob on the taxpayers pocket).

I will continue to stack Gold, will do more road trips in my German petrol SUV which gives 6kmpl, will travel abroad at least 2-3 times a year (one already done this year), call all my staff to office everyday (canceling hybrid model). I'd like to first see him & entire cabinet fly in commercial airline, travel in single car (no convoy) while not blocking the roads and using Indian car. Also, he must stop going abroad himself first.
