Happy third anniversary to Mr President. In the past 3 years, the presidential community engagement team in North Central, through our citizens’ assemblies, community visits, listening tours, and town hall meetings, has been able to connect government with grassroots communities. With more than 700 volunteers working across stakeholder networks, our initiative has generated over 200 community reports submitted to Mr President Bola and members of the Federal Executive Council. Our work continues to inspire confidence in a more inclusive and responsive model of governance in Nigeria. We have been able to carry out several key initiatives, including: * The launch of the Presidential Community Engagement Peace Initiative (PCEPI) to promote peacebuilding and strengthen social cohesion. * The hosting of the North Central Peace Summit in Jos, Plateau State, to advance peace efforts in the region. * The establishment of community-based peace structures, in collaboration with state peace agencies, across the 61 local government areas of Kogi, Benue, and Plateau States, etc. * ⁠contributed to the planning of two presidential visits to Benue and Plateau states * ⁠Conducted over 10 on-the-spot community assessments in Plateau, Benue, Nassarawa, and Kwara * ⁠facilitated federal government intervention on insecurity, infrastructure, and emergency management services.
