@roathboy I both understand the point and understand the hesitancy to put him back there. Despite the big positives he offered on CM, it meant at least one other player sitting alongside him. Wintle is more adept at playing as a single 6, offering freedom to Joel/Turnbull more freedom.

I know it’s a different manager, but it feels strange that Chambers played so well in central midfield last season and is no longer a consideration there. Especially when he’s looked relatively uncomfortable back at centre back. With him shielding the back four, none shall pass

@ThreeBluebirds_ Agree but my concern is that whilst you might get talent with loans - it's rare you get leadership, which is the key component I think we need. Preferably at centre back.

I personally don’t mind if we sign some promising loans - as long as they have realistic buy options.
It gives us a chance to test the waters before committing to signing more flops/deadwood.
If we’re in and amongst it in January, we may have more budget to bolster.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Ralls going forward. He had an appearance based extension in his contract that he presumable hasn’t met. He’s 32 this year and has a lot of football in his legs. He’s studying for his A licence, so might he go all in on coaching?

@roathboy It's become a terrible league. Quality has got lower and lower. It's more attractive to be a benchwarmer in the prem financially than play in Champ and with 5 subs more players stay there. Apart from top 2-3 each year it's a competition about who is being run the least worse.
