The "Boriswave" refers to the massive influx of migrants to the UK starting in early 2021, after Boris Johnson's government implemented post-Brexit points-based visa rules for work, study, and other categories. This led to record-high net migration—over 700,000 annually at peaks—mostly legal entrants from countries like India, Nigeria, and Pakistan, rather than just small boat arrivals. Critics, including Nigel Farage, coined the term to highlight what they see as uncontrolled immigration under Conservative policies, now targeted for a benefits crackdown by Labour's Shabana Mahmood.

@Imranmuhdz @woye1 @Evri__Delivery kindly train your delivery men to pay attention to details. I had to personally look for and deliver a package wrongfully delivered at my doorstep and left for almost 4 days. Address was clearly not mine and I had to trace the address and person to deliver myself.

The reason why the EFCC rejected the method by which Yahaya Bello reported to the commission.
“Upon realising that Bello came with the governor and some dignitaries, the Executive Chairman directed that no official should attend to him.
“His manner of coming to EFCC was a breach of our protocol. No Nigerian, no matter how highly placed, is expected to come for an invitation in a convoy of vehicles and with a sitting governor.
“To the EFCC, he came with grandeur which is contrary to our procedures.
“There are stages of documentation which Bello skipped because he was with the governor who has immunity.
“The EFCC also did not invite the governor. So, what was the basis for accompanying Bello to our headquarters in Abuja?
“We have not been comfortable with the roles of the governor in this case.
“After fulfilling all procedures of documentation, Bello was expected to come with his lawyer(s) and not a governor or Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs).
“We cannot be intimidated or subject our system to political pollution.
“This made the Executive Chairman of EFCC to direct that no official should attend to Bello. He must undergo due process like every invitee.
“The commission was unhappy with the pre-emptive propaganda in the media by Bello’s team which had created false impressions.
“There was a narration that the ex-governor was already in EFCC’s custody.” A source told The Nation.

@itz_dayum @toolzmoney If your wife puts you in a position to choose between she and your mother then she's not your wife, if your mum puts you in a situation to choose between she and your wife then she's not a good mum. Both have different roles to play in a man's life, no need to choose.

FG has started selling 50Kg of rice for a price of N40,000
The Federal Government announced on Monday that it has commenced the distribution of an extra 10 trucks containing 50kg bags of rice to every state. The rice will be available for sale at specific locations for the price of N40,000.
During the Council meeting, Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, informed State House correspondents that providing 10 trucks of rice to each state aimed to alleviate poverty and combat the high cost of living.
He said, “And the position of the FEC is that most of the demands that the protesters are making are actually being addressed by the federal government and therefore it is the view of the government that there is really no need for the protests again because most of those things that the protesters are putting forward are already actually been addressed or are being addressed by government and like we have said repeatedly, this is a listening government.
“The President has listened to be voices of all those who are planning this protest. And the message is that there is no need for it.
“Indeed, the President is already protesting on their behalf by doing those things that they want a government to do for example, the effort that government is making, in ensuring that food is being made available.
“The last Council meeting here at the briefing, we announced that a number of trucks 20 precisely had been given to the state governors for onward distribution to those who actually In need of them to poorest of the poor in society and those who are actually in need, but government did not stop there there is also rice that is being sold at about 50% of its cost, a bag of rice is being sold at N40,000 as we speak now.
“This rice have been taken to various centers across all the states of the federation, and is being sold at 40,000 Naira, centers have been created. So that those who need this rice can go there and buy this rice at 40,000 naira
“In the first instance, about 10 trucks have been made available to each of these states and indeed, this is just the beginning I know that some of the comments you hear is that it is never enough. Government has not pretended that this supplies are indeed enough. But these are necessary first steps that are being made and more of such interventions are being made in the interim.”
