@jen_keesmaat I have more than a few ideas. And correction, Canada is not suffering from a brain drain, it's suffering from brain waste. I'm about to start my last year doing an honours in POLSCI in uni, but I haven't been employed for 4 years. I want to do policy work, but I face barriers.

“Canada’s population forecast to reach 63 million by 2073, number of people over 85 set to triple.” In my lifetime I have seen: - the quality of our healthcare decline - the quality of public education decline - the quality of a University education decline - the quality of our infrastructure decline - entrepreneurship decline - productivity decline - access to homeownership decline - upward mobility decline We are again facing a ‘brain drain.’ Think about the consequences if young, educated people are leaving but our population is growing. (A country of old and uneducated people? How does that work.) Yes, there have been bright lights and surges of optimism and progress along the way. But I almost feel like we need a new vision for this country. Growth for the sake of growth without a plan to scale up access to public eduction, healthcare, University education, our infrastructure and housing will be a disaster. The cracks are already showing. We could bust up the whole dream without a vision of what we want to become and without a plan for how to get there. We need a National Commission on How to Accommodate Growth and Improve Quality of Life. Or something like that. But we need a Plan. @CBCHamilton It's obvious that the board is trying to silence him. It won't work. And the councillors who voted for the budget approval without question...your days as representatives are numbered. We are in a time when actions are scrutinized by voters who vote accordingly.

@CraigCassar @CameronKroetsch I'll repeat this as often as it needs to be said. This move is a petty "stay in your lane" attempt to discourage the councilor. Councillor Kroetsch is doing an EXCELLENT JOB! Keep it up!!! You have support as a ward tenant and the support of many more people than they do.

@merry123459 Not only that, axing the tax is a guarantee that some other tax scheme will be implemented or we will be faced with increased taxes somewhere else. Conservatives tend to place priority on the wrong factors affecting the state negatively. They can seem to connect dots effectively

Axing the Carbon tax means Canada would have no climate plan if this man was PM. The wildfires we saw last summer, the smoke, the lasting haze, the harm to people with respiratory issues, average Canadians, the damage they did to crops, the environment, would get steadily worse.

Clearly HPS Board is in need of a serious governance review. Board members are to provide sufficient oversight of police services to ensure adequate & effective police services in the community; & maintain public confidence in the delivery of policing. That includes the budget!

Because I am raising concerns about the flood of unvetted illegal immigrants overwhelming American cities, the press will often characterize me as “anti-immigrant”. As an immigrant myself, nothing could be further from the truth. I am very much in favor of increased and expedited legal immigration for anyone who is talented, hard-working and honest. It is bizarrely difficult and agonizingly slow to immigrate to the USA legally, but trivial and fast to enter illegally! This obviously makes no sense.

@DrEliDavid Israel does/did not own Gaza, so had no authority to give Gaza to anyone. Also, Israel is responsible for the rubble that Gaza now is. Don't shift the blame. Most of it is Israel's fault. The rest can be split evenly between the US, all allies who agreed to Israel's war, & Hamas.

Israel gave you every inch of Gaza. With tens of billions in humanitarian aid, you could have turned it into Dubai or Singapore. Instead, you glorified death and destruction, celebrated massacre and kidnapping. You turned Gaza into a pile of rubble. You brought this on yourself.
