Whatever you think of Polanski, pretty much everything he says here is true. The economic consequences of the war in Iran will reach everyone in Britain - and as Israel continues to escalate the conflict, things will only get worse. The Greens - whose policies would utterly destroy this country - cannot be allowed to monopolise the moral high ground on this issue. We have maintained from the beginning that Britain should have no part in this war. Fighting Israel’s wars for them is not in the national - or, indeed, international - interest.

@ReemAmirIbrahim Because college is such a central formative experience for many and professional sports are made for tv product with a fragile connection to a place whereas the college team isn’t going to move.

We pay through the nose for renewables and yet they are so ineffective that its seen as a cause celebre when they produce more than 50% of our electricity. Right now wind is producing only 8% of electricity. Depending on the weather for energy is a BAD and EXPENSIVE strategy.
