TEXAS, NC STATE and US! and of course, Will Wade, Sean Miller and Archie Miller. CRAZY NIGHT TONIGHT in the Nunn households across NC and AZ. Mel and I first assignment was Ft. Hood Texas and man, do i have some stories!!!! That's her and her Grandma, Easter Geneva Patterson McClain (Nancy Mom), and folks...she was a SPARK PLUG from Bryson City and Florida! That's them at Baylor and some young dude gazing off into the Texas skies....or just waiting on the Lady's (Mid 80's). ANYWAY, NC State plays Texas in the First Four of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament tonight. Of course I am "ALL IN" on Will Wade, #GoPack! He made the right decision to come here! Now, Texas Coach Sean Miller was and Assistant Coach under Herb Sendek hoops coach for 5 years in Raleigh. Two of Millers sons were born in Raleigh and they lived in Garner. His brother Archie Miller (Head Coach at Rhode Island) played for the PACK from 1998-2002. I'm sure there are many other connections but HOPE we can take care of the Longhorns tonight but man, that was a VERY SPECIAL time for us!!! #GoPack #NCState!
