before memos existed, the gap between onchain reality and offchain business systems was the single biggest friction point in financial blockchain applications. a company could see on the explorer that $5,000 moved from wallet A to wallet B, but connecting that movement to an invoice in their accounting software requires a separate database, a custom indexer perhaps, and a reconciliation script that may break whenever gas prices fluctuates and txns got stuck or reordered. I have seen 4 concrete quality improvements memos at contract call level unlocks: 1. reconciliation becomes reliable. memo events are only emitted when the underlying call succeeds. 2. batch payouts become attributable. memos are the trace 3. no contract changes needed. the fact that memos attach at the call level and work with existing contracts including usdc is significant. 4. audit trails become native. @arc is built for financial applications with stablecoins. transaction memos make it easier to connect to the systems around them. community.arc.io/home/blogs/arc…
