@BillsSocal Haha yeah the pats are dumb asses and now they are pot committed to a deficient LT. And yeah, if he becomes a decent back that’s a HUGE W. As far as Kromer goes, I’ve always looked at it as Kromer’s scheme can hide deficient players vs him turning them into good players
English

@BuffCommander You have good reason to think all that. I just have (or had) a lot of faith in Kromer on the evaluation side. Lots of warts in the 6th round. I would be pissed if we drafted someone with that body profile in the 1st (lol Pats!). Like I say, if he's a decent backup, that a win.
English

Would he a great fit, and he doesn’t affect the comp pick bingo formula. Hopefully Beane uses the money that he just free’d up
Kevin Massare@KevinMassare
Bobby Okereke, the defensive captain for the Giants and ILB coach John Egorugwu is now with the Bills He would be a good starter to give the recently freed money by the Bills. He wouldn’t count against the compensation formula either. No brainer
English

@BillsSocal I think he was good for a small school level, but I just didn’t see any redeemable NFL traits. But we’ll see how it looks. I hope I’m super wrong. I think I value the measurements more than most, but I think they have the thresholds for a reason (as we can see with Will Campbell)
English

@BuffCommander I get it. If you liked the pick it was because he had good feet and you hope he could add some good weight to that massive frame.
English

@Billzfanz We have some 1T’s, we need a NT (or 0Tech). My guess is they don’t roster a NT and run a 3-4 with a 1tech instead of a NT. That’s what it sounded like in Beane’s interview this past week
English

@BuffCommander Need DJ Reader at nt! I don’t understand why they refuse to get a 1tech! Running backs have been killing us and I don’t see anything they’ve done to make it better! Maybe they draft one but I’d rather have experience 🤷🏻♂️
English

@BillsSocal Yeah I have my doubts. He has T-Rex arms and not a great athlete. Also barely over 300 lbs. I hated the pick from the jump so I’m admittedly biased. I don’t think he’s a rosterable NFL player but here we are. At 6’7”1/2 he’ll have trouble inside given his lack of girth
English

@BuffCommander Fair. I'm just parroting the scuttlebutt when he was drafted, which I assume came at least some degree from Kromer, who I put a lot of trust in. As a 6th round pick, if he's a decent back up, that's a win.
English

@ElvisZerodx I actually didn’t either until mid last week lol
English

@ElvisZerodx I’m not at all. I’ve been saying it since CJGJ and Geno were signed, but they feel good about the safety room now. Also, Dugger is more of a box only safety
English

@ElvisZerodx Maybe another edge player to give us insurance for Chubb
English

@ElvisZerodx Nice. Yeah I feel like they kind of have to use it for a tiny swing now. Like an Okereke or Reader
English

@KevinMassare @sdcartman Agreed and Okereke is better than Pratt. Not to mention I’m starting to think Beane likes the DT’s he has on the roster
English

@sdcartman Okereke doesnt count against the formula. Reader and Pratt would
English

@Moook_12 Anderson isn’t really a swing tackle. Grable won the swing tackle role 2 years and RVD was the other backup tackle. Anderson was always the utility lineman and “swing” guard/backup center
English

@BuffCommander Help remind me, wasn’t Grable the swing tackle before he got hurt ahead of Anderson
English

@kevin_siracuse Yeah that sounds correct. I really do like the player, just wonder if he can stay healthy consistently
English

@BuffCommander Yeah but it will probably drop his price tag. Plus he would be the perfect competition for Alec Anderson at LG without burying him on the depth chart like a Joel Bitonio or Kevin Zeitler would
English

@KevinMassare Nice. Yeah I think given already have Grable they felt this money could be allocated more to a true position of need. Just hope Grable can stay healthy

The Bills free up 3.5m by letting Van Demark go to the Vikings. They get him on a 1 year deal worth 4.2m
Tom Pelissero@TomPelissero
RFA on the move: The Bills will not match the offer sheet to OL Ryan Van Demark, who is headed to the Vikings on a one-year, $4.2 million fully guaranteed deal, sources tell The Insiders. Deal negotiated by @davidcanter @nessmugrabi @brian_mcintyre of @aurasportsgroup.
English

@whittle2k @kevin_siracuse Most definitely. He'd instantly be our best LB
English

@BuffCommander @kevin_siracuse He's still only 29. Can problem get 3 more good years from him
