@RealJamesWoods True. Our founding fathers didn't just come off the fields after hunting wild life to write that. Rather they just beat the world's largest standing army with rifles as good as, or better, than them. And certainly better shooting skills.

Our friends, the Brits, went from relinquishing their right to bear arms in 1997 to standing on the edge of the Islamist abyss today. Our Second Amendment is not about the right to go duck hunting, folks. It’s about keeping power in the hands of The People.

Indeed. And continues: "While to the Nazi the communist and to the communist the Nazi, and to both the socialist, are potential recruits made of the right timber, they both know that there can be no compromise between them and those who really believe in individual freedom."
F. A. Hayek Quotes@FAHayekSays

“Communists and Nazis clashed more frequently with each other than with other parties. They competed for the support of the same type of mind and reserved for each other the hatred of the heretic.” — Friedrich Hayek

They must have abandoned the path of the wild when they enviously compared their struggles with the generous treatment by humans of dogs, horses, other domesitcated animals, and decided they must become cuddly and funny stupid to us. Give them a show and they'll feed us and provide quarter.

@real_EBS_ So because his taxes on the wealthy are high and driving away those targets, he wants to RAISE the taxes on the very highest tiers of that pool to maximum to convince the already shaking others in the high tiers below highest to stay? I'm just trying to understand his plan.

We are the most indebted country the world has ever seen, bar none. We crossed the $39 trillion mark in March. Those debts carry huge interest service costs that can exceed even the military budget and social security. The government has spent every dime it collects, borrowed more, and inflated the currency as a hiddle tax to devalue the USD. This is inter-generational theft write large, and you are just calling for more of that, not providing solutions for future generations to handle the fiscal problem that will be foisted on them, one way or another.

We are the richest society in human history. We can have universal health care. We can have universal child care. We can have universal public higher ed. We can have a tax code that pulls back all the wealth that was stolen from the working class over the past 50 years.

@GERCEK_BU_2 Per Grok: Cutting key cables could cause major regional internet slowdowns affecting data traffic through chokepoints, but global rerouting via satellites like Starlink, other cables, and land-based networks would prevent total collapse or pre-industrial conditions.

It depends on the aliens intentions. If it's hostility and conquest, then we'd answer militarily and regionally, nationally. If it's to bestow on us the wisdom of the galaxy, that would break down by category, medical, tech, etc. First problem would be lanquage and communication. We would need to find a way to understand them as they too would struggle with earth's libguistic multiplicity. That process could take years.

went out to a restaurant last night ate a delicious meal for only €10 drank one of the most beautiful wines I've ever had in my life (just €5) at the end of the night, the waiter didn't beg for a 50% tip instead, the restaurant paid him a respectable living wage without having to rely on charity from the diners on my way home, I enjoyed a free ride on public transit instead of paying $3,000 a month for a leased car that costs an additional $750 a month in Gas just to operate The American mind cannot comprehend the beauty of living in Europe

We are free to own guns and my neck of the woods is very peaceful here, as an armed society is a polite one. The pics of violence you see are of the news coming your way and many from cities run by liberal mayors and DAs that release criminals easily for crimes that have high rates of reclivism. But you don't see that today in the foothills of North Carolina, nothing violent happened. The chickens gave us a dozen eggs, the gardens are blooming, the German Shepherds were playful in the large wooded backyard. You all hear the leftwing noise, such as those accusations of strangulations by police, since if you are referring to George Floyd, are disputable because the officer followed SOP and Floyd was high as a kite. But we do see British police arresting people for free speech, and migrants burning cars in Paris, etc. We don't see the lovely peaceful places where nothing bad happened.

That kind of juxtaposed picture could be done for Europe too, of migrants littering the streets, and police arresting Meme writers, but that probably would be a distorted view of your continent. And the we that you refer to as disgusting, nasty, and originally stupid, are mostly of European descent.

Various parts were drafted in England and we benefited hugely by the philosphies of John Locke and Edmund Burke. The Cato Papers were absorbed by Americans, and we named one city, Wilkes-Barre, PA after prominent Whigs. The problems came when the Tories came to power in the UK. We believed in individual liberty even more than those original Manchester liberals and built our Constitution thus, which was then the strongest document since the Magna Carta.

@UziCryptoo Yes indeed. And even though prices are going up in the grocery store, we have cut our purchases of expensive American whiskeys, processed snacks, condiments, and beverage brands, specifically @CocaCola and @pepsi products to adjust for this.
