@theoliveranwar Add one more: swap anxiety about money for a budget. What you consume financially shapes your life just as much as what you eat.

Swap soda for water. Swap Netflix for books. Swap carbs for protein. Swap news for podcasts. Swap sweets for vegetables. Consume better if you want a higher standard of mental and physical health.

9/10 times owning a home that you live in is a terrible investment. Most people will say oh I bought it for 400 and sold for 500. Yet they don’t add up what they paid in taxes, interest, HOA, insurance, etc over the hold period. Plus RE commissions to sell. The stock market will VERY likely outperform your RE appreciation for a home you personally live in.

most of my friends have basically $0 savings + debt. this app has you believing half a million by 30 is "normal" and anything less means you suck. the median net worth for folks under 35 is 39k.

@Isabelletkrause This is so true. I myself was at a time where I was obsessed with listening to Father Mike and other religious podcasts to the point where I was neglecting my prayer life. Those things are all good but you NEED to always make time for the Father to speak to you personally

Does God really not speak to you or is your head so full of worship music and podcasts that you never make space to hear Him?

@alethia__23 I sincerely hope not. There are definitely some Catholics who take the veneration further than necessary but worship is dedicated to the one God. I think without the sacraments it’s hard for Protestants to understand a different level of worship

If Protestants call Catholic's veneration of Mary "worship," does that mean their worship of God rises no higher than that? 🤔
