🔥NEW: Clarence Thomas — full remarks on progressivism, its foundations, history, and impact from his appearance at University of Texas at Austin: “Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, and Mao were all intertwined with the rise of progressivism, and all were opposed to the natural rights on which our Declaration is based.” "Many progressives expressed admiration for each of them shortly before their governments killed tens of millions of people." "It comes as no surprise that the progressives embraced eugenics... It was only a small step for Wilson to resegregate the federal workforce." "It was only another step for the government to launch sterilization programs on those deemed by the experts of the day to be unfit to reproduce." “European thinkers have long criticized America for remaining trapped in a Lockean world, with its weakened, decentralized government and strong individual rights. They say our 18th-century Declaration has prevented us from progressing to higher forms of government." "But we were fortunate not to trade our Lockean bonds for the supposedly enlightened world of Hegel, Marx, and their followers. Fascism, which after all was national socialism, triggered wars in Europe and Asia that killed tens of millions." "The socialism of the Soviet Union and the People’s Republic of China proceeded to kill tens of millions more of their own people. This is what happens when natural rights give way to higher-good notions of history or progress, or, as Thomas Sowell has written, the visions of the anointed." "None of this, of course, was an improvement on the principles of the Declaration. Tocqueville's Democracy in America is largely about how America owed its superiority over Europe to its conscious decision to reject central planning and administrative rule, root and branch." "Progressivism, in other words, is retrogressive.”

Massachusetts is the only state in the entire country where the Governor’s office, the Judiciary and state Legislature are all exempt from the public records law, as Gov. Maura Healey recently hid behind this exemption to withhold hundreds of entries to the newly-created ICE Misconduct Portal and legislative leaders refuse to comply with a voter-approved audit.

@dinghummer @Liv_Boeree @DrSyedHaider yes, BS begets more BS. Which is why good meta analyses rank the quality of studies first, discarding low quality studies, prior to combing the data. They particularly look to limit heterogeneity in design and casetypes, so as to reduce bias.

9 out of 10 UTIs can be treated with over the counter D-mannose, a simple sugar and the active ingredient in cranberry juice that makes the causative E-coli bacteria unable to stick to your bladder wall. 500-1000mg 4-5 times a day for a few days usually does the trick. This is much higher than the amount and frequency you’ll find recommended in most “cranberry capsules”. It’s harmless and doesn’t kill any good bacteria and has no side effects unlike traditional antibiotics. It’s kind of a crime against women that we give them so many antibiotics for UTIs. This should really be first line in all low risk routine cases.

If you paid even a penny in federal income tax last year, you paid more than: Tesla Southwest Disney Live Nation HP United PayPal CVS Health Palantir Citigroup PG&E 3M That's right. They paid $0 in federal income tax. It's time for big corporations to pay their fair share.

Tesla investors know chips are difficult. They also know it needs to be done, and Elon Musk doesn’t give up. As the Terafab works towards production at scale, Tesla has excellent supply deals in place that provide enough chips for the next few years. And those suppliers will remain important. The Terafab is for the gap between how many chips Tesla and SpaceX want to hyperscale - and how many their suppliers are comfortable committing to provide. Inevitably the Terafab announcement will make Tesla suppliers increase that number of chips and their own growth plans. It will work out.

Too few truly understand. At this point, I think Tesla retail investors would benefit from reading Chip by Chip: From TSMC to Terafab to understand what it took for TSMC—and what it will take for Tesla and Terafab—to succeed in chip manufacturing. I hope Tesla OGs and industry insiders will help share the insights. amazon.com/dp/B0GWXSMGVC @TeslaBoomerMama @teslaownersSV @wholemars @SawyerMerritt @_SFTahoe @GavinSBaker @sundeep @dylan522p @herbertong @thejefflutz @PeterDiamandis @farzyness

@sagesteele Sadly, MA is another one-party state. Wu recently won reelection while being "unopposed". I'd love for Boston, a great city, to "do better".

The advantage of Cochrane is that they compile all the studies, with a much larger sample size, and look for a more reliable conclusion thru systematic analysis. The X readership is gigantic, large and wide. A balanced discussion is important; home remedies can sometimes work in some circumstances, but they can also lead to delays in appropriate care. JMHO.

Just reporting on supposed evidence is unhelpful. Research into such things is shoddy and usually looks like it was designed to fail from the outset. For example wrong timing, wrong dosing, wrong indication, whatever. There are infinite ways to pretend to do research when what you’re really doing is narrative management.

Thankyou. That is very honorable. I was wondering why the passion; 🙂. I've always admired your intellect and eloquence. Speaking more generally, yes, home remedies can work sometimes for some conditions. But ignoring evidence-based medicine is problematic, too, not that you were recommending that. Just wanted to add some balance since the X readership is so large and wide. best,

@CritCareIntel @DrSyedHaider Yes I interpreted your message as directed at me in a belittling way, but I see it was intended at the original author, so I retract the intensity of my response somewhat. And yes of course antibiotics should always be considered.

Understand what this means. If high-population blue states like NY and CA produce significant enough turnout, the members of this ‘compact’ will turn over their electoral votes to the Democrat even if their own voters chose to elect a Republican. This will tremendously incentivize vote fraud in blue states to pad the numbers, as well as incentivize as much illegal immigration as possible for the same reason. This is also why Democrats so vehemently oppose Voter ID. The idea now is to get as many warm bodies into blue states as possible and get them onto voter rolls in order to steal national elections via the ‘popular vote compact’. The electoral college was designed specifically to prevent a tyranny of the larger states, and it has worked as intended for 250 years. But now because Democrat policy is so incredibly radical and unappealing to national voters, and because the party is incapable of moderation or changing direction, they’re simply going to undo the very foundations of the country in an attempt to seize power. Understand where we are here.

BREAKING - Outrage is erupting across Virginia after Abigail Spanberger signed HB965 into law, effectively rendering Virginians’ presidential votes null and void, with the measure handing the states electoral votes to the national popular vote winner regardless of states results.

It's a little hard to respond this, Liv; you seem insulted, not my intent. Suffice to say that the Cochrane review of scientific evidence is highly respected and meta-analytic techniques are important. That said, really the main point is to not avoid antibiotics for persistent or serious infections. Insufficiently managed UTIs deteriorate into Urosepsis, a potentially lethal condition.

Cool I guess I’ll tell me and the dozens of other woman I’ve spoken to who anecdotally agree to ignore the plethora of personal experience and evidence we all had in resolving the recurring antibiotic resistant e-coli UTIs that no urologist was able to permanently resolve! Dr Stan here says the studies he googled say all our experiences are false, even though there are also plenty of studies which show the *exact opposite* of his claims, and even give a clear mechanism of action of why the d-mannose molecule works, by binding e-coli bacteria more efficiently than the bladder lining! Shh you silly women, what could you ever discover from your years of observation & research out of desperation to cure the ailment plaguing your own bodies for years that science failed to sufficiently investigate!

The name of the company… NewBird AI. It is a cutting-edge, AI-native cloud infrastructure firm out of- well, they used to be out of San Francisco making sneakers, but forget that, John- they are now awaiting imminent deployment of next-generation GPU compute clusters that have both massive enterprise and consumer applications. Now, right now, John, the stock trades on the Nasdaq at about the price of a cup of coffee. And by the way, John, our analysts indicate it could go a heck of a lot higher than that. And John- one more thing- they're up 160% just today
