Further to the Skiathos Airport team. Friendliness and skill up to our plane. Boarding was also possible quickly, despite the internet failure. Looking at the images from the media - our thoughts are with you and we hope that the weather will hopefully improve soon.

@BBCPoppy @JackTow32 @TUIUK He’s on the nearby island Skopelos (only reachable by ferry) those pictures of the tourist street turned into a raging torrent are of Skiathos not sure what situation is like in Skopelos

@TUIUK I’m on the 12:40 flight from skiathos to Gatwick tomorrow and have heard no update about advice. Currently can’t get to skiathos as no ferries allowed to travel there, and flooding in town means you can’t then reach airport. Any travel guidance or advise around our flight?

22 August 1942 | A transport of Jews from occupied Yugoslavia arrived at #Auschwitz. 110 men & 86 women were registered. Others were murdered in gas chambers. Among the deported were members of Herrmann family: Julio, Bela, his son Vilim & his wife Edita. None of them survived.
