People on the right & left don’t understand that post labor economics is coming.
No one can stop the inevitability of AI & robotics.
Capitalism ends when there’s millions of humanoid robots producing in our economy—50x more efficiently than any human ever.
Elon understands it.

@fuckyouiquit @circlerotator @elonmusk That’s honestly very likely. Money genuinely might not be a thing in the future if scarcity doesn’t exist.
I don’t think people are prepared for what’s coming. This will be 100x more transformative than the Industrial Revolution.
Elon Musk@elonmusk
@IterIntellectus That’s why I say the system won’t use dollars as currency in the future. Just mass and energy.
English

@circlerotator @Dom_Petsch @elonmusk Then if that’s the case just make everything free. Why has the money control lever at all? It just limits people supply. If supply really is unlimited. But they won’t do that because this future of abundance idea is pure bullshit.

@ionicbondzzz @fuckyouiquit @elonmusk Increasing the money supply via the federal government and the federal reserve.
English

@Dom_Petsch @fuckyouiquit @elonmusk you still havent explained where the money for these paychecks for citizens will come from
English

@VonWucks @fuckyouiquit @elonmusk Ok lol. Pretty much every tech expert realizes this inevitability.

@VonWucks @fuckyouiquit @elonmusk Just billions in general, working across all sectors. Fast forward 15-20 years and I think we’re there pretty easily.
English

@Dom_Petsch @fuckyouiquit @elonmusk There will not be billions of robots working in every sector. Stop taking whatever substance you are taking
English

@DrDiamondfire @Drexler771 @fuckyouiquit @elonmusk I think increasing the money supply is probably the best strategy. Overtaxation and over regulation could create bad incentives for offshoring. We’re in a heated AI race with every country.
The end result (if we don’t die) I think we get, is an abundance of goods and services.
English

@Dom_Petsch @Drexler771 @fuckyouiquit @elonmusk Right but the thing is if everyone gets universal income checks regularly, that works by taking all the value produced and distributing it to everyone as opposed to letting it pool among a few very rich people. I am all for this, but the money comes from taking it from the rich
English

@fuckyouiquit @elonmusk True, printing unlimited money has been historically brutal, as it causes massive inflation.
The whole system is about to change, and it must, as billions of humanoid robots will be working in every sector of our economy.
The likely result of this (if we live lol) is abundance.
English

Ahh yes. The ability to print unlimited money has never historically been bad. Basing the entire value of your currency on the productivity of ai machines. Brilliant idea. Any single large disruption in production would create instant hyperinflation and crash the economy. MMT is garbage economics. Don’t fall for that shit. That’s why you need to tax the producers. To actually pay for it.
English

@DrDiamondfire @Drexler771 @fuckyouiquit @elonmusk Money is a tool used to measure and exchange the value of goods and services.
The whole system is about to change, whether you like it or not.
English

@Dom_Petsch @Drexler771 @fuckyouiquit @elonmusk You really have no idea how basic economics works do you? How and why money has value?
English

@Drexler771 @fuckyouiquit @elonmusk Bc there will be hundreds of millions of super intelligent humanoid robots working 24/7 in our economy—in every sector. We will have abundance, not scarcity.
I’m not saying the transition won’t be economically painful at first, but stimulus checks are likely the best trade-off.
English

@Dom_Petsch @fuckyouiquit @elonmusk And why will that not cause massive inflation just like those budgets you mentioned did?
English

@fuckyouiquit @elonmusk The federal reserve can print money if Congress passes certain budgets, lol.
Think of COVID, and how the “CARES act” increased unemployment benefits.
AI and robotics will lead to something similar policy wise, just on a larger scale.
English

@Dom_Petsch @elonmusk …and where does the federal government get its money that it will hand out to people?
English

@Dom_Petsch @elonmusk Sure sure sure and who funds those checks. Take all the time you need with that.
English

@fuckyouiquit @elonmusk No. Elon is advocating for stimulus checks to give out to those impacted by unemployment.
AI & robotics will increase productivity at an unfathomable rate, meaning the cost of goods & services will plummet.
We just need time to mass produce robots and implement them in society.
English

@elonmusk So you’re advocating massive tax increases on billionaires? Or are you advocating the government seizing the means of production?
