@okJLUV IDK, personally I'd rather not than hit a God pack without Pika, Dragonite or Gengar - Mostly because people hit them with all three. I'd be a little hurt. Feels like they coulda distributed the most popular PKMN better.

@_bismack_ The best part is, this set is so good in setting up the upcoming rotation. Reprinting some cards to make them staples, making new cards to become staples, Meowth EX will be in 80% of decks, new energies, fighting support. It's a great set to bring in the new life of the TCG.

We need to end the misconception that the quality of a new set is somehow determined by how scalpable it is.
Product sitting on shelves for more than an hour is actually a good thing for Pokémon.

Wow, the gold is starting under $200 and all SIRs under $150.... on release day! I think this will be the first set since PRE that will be easy to find. Singles are gonna fall and the gambling addicts posing as collectors will begin to skip it because there isn't a $500 card.

@scruffycitytv I actually hit the Meowth early in my pulls. I had 2 ETBs, 3 packs, a Chikorita Blister, 2 Snorlax Coin packs, a 6 pack booster

I had zero idea this set even came out today since it was one I wasn’t interested in.
I hope the people who actually want to collect it can find it today. But I’m sure most of the people that said it’s a terrible set will still load up and hoard it and scalpers will still try to flip it for $3.23 in profit.

There’s absolutely no reason on planet earth that this amazing Clefairy art card is only $28 on launch day. It would easily be a $100 card if it was in Ascendant Heroes.

@whoiscalaca @SteeloAndKri The only way Gallade will be expensive is if it's not actually in the booster packs and is a promo in the blister sets like in Japan. Then you'll be in trouble...

@whoiscalaca @SteeloAndKri So Fezandipiti is a staple for like every deck that's why it costs so much or...did. it was recently reprinted so you can find them between $3-5. Yeah he was a promo in JP, but I think they're printing it in that set for US. It's a very good card, also pairs really well with the new Fighting support we've been getting and the Wally card from Mega Evolution!

@whoiscalaca @SteeloAndKri I would highly recommend going to prerelease event! I went to my first one over the weekend and it was a great time. You get a lot of packs and a mini structure deck that has a lot of good staples. TCG Live is good too becuase you can use your codes from packs for more cards!

@whoiscalaca @SteeloAndKri Unfortunately for Illustrations, HOWEVER, Pokemon is really cheap to build decks at the basic level. Buying the standard versions of cards, even like EX Megas, is very cheap. There's a few exceptions to this rule, but decks are generally cheap to make! ☺️
