@ThatNerdMert The right is honestly my favorite Eeveelution card from Prismatic so it was always going to be tough to top. I like the colors more on the right, pops a lot more although that could change with some higher res photos.

@ThePokeMD There's good and bad to both. I generally prefer the older art since it was a little more grittier and more "pocket monster" esque, but there are a ton of modern Illustration rares that still scratch that itch for me. Good example below of a modern and midera card I both like.

@THEPOKEPLATEAU @ChaiDeluxe Not sure what to tell ya other than it's part of the 2.5x industry standard rule for tracking profit. It's the largest IP in the world's first live action movie, not cracking $500 million at the box office was a disappointment no matter how you slice it.

I really dislike when people add "marketing" as part of the budget when it comes to films because they're not from the same company. Digital sales are also never applied to gross, which I feel makes it wildly inaccurate. If we are going to include marketing in the total budget, digital and physical sales should be added to its gross. Detective Pikachu was estimated to have made $400 million on digital/physical sales alone, meaning it's gross would be around $800+ million against a $250 budget, which is a success.

Genuine question, why didn’t this do crazy well? It’s Pokemon, did everyone just decide they didn’t wanna like Pokemon that day?

@THEPOKEPLATEAU @ChaiDeluxe Budget was around $250 with marketing, take into consideration that theaters takes half of all domestic ticket sales (and more international) and this was a bit of a disappointment in terms of box office.

@ChaiDeluxe Was the highest grossing video game movie, until Sonic released a year later. $430 million off a $150 million budget is "doing well".
