Japanese indie game developer Mai Itsuki creates adult-themed games under her doujin circle called Ren reported a serious problem with her bank. Resona Bank has suddenly stopped processing her international payments from game sales overseas. This includes revenue from a publisher in Taiwan. The bank gave no clear reason, only mentioning unspecified “risks.” Itsuki has always operated legally, paid all her taxes, and followed Japan’s strict rules for this type of content. She is also currently undergoing cancer treatment, which adds to the stress of the situation. The block began in March 2026 and has left her without access to important funds. She now plans to change banks to keep her work going.

this is awesome and nothing like what people are worried about. it's NOT hallucinating details, it's just more intelligent compression. the insight is devs realized you can compress all the different files which compose a material like albedo, normal map, etc as one big 3d block

[Spoilers for Kara No Kyoukai Bellow, you have been warned.] The main thrust of this particular volume of the urban mystery Kara No Kyoukai(which btw, is in the same multiverse as Tsukihime and Fate), was that an Ancient Zen priest hoped to reach the Akashic Records, the recording of all life and existence, so he could functionally scribe a massive "Humanity Existed" line on it. To this point he erected an agonizingly insufferable to live in Low Income housing skyscraper for "down on their luck" families, designed to make just...existing in it a net drain on your ability to tolerate life, all so the denizens, who were already struggling, would just go nutso and kill each other. In essence, it's a cockroach motel for people who've hit rock bottom. He than had each of these families simulate their last day over, and over, and over, in a bid to create the circumstances that would allow him to execute his main goal. What you're seeing is just one of countless simulated family annihilation murders that have been played out by that red head in the backs parents. At the start of the movie he brutally stabbed his parents to death and spent days expecting the police to hunt him down. This is him finding out that it was all fake, and more or less that he isn't real or rather he and everyone still moving about in that tower is a zombie of sorts. The flesh is real, but the life is an imitation. He's just the simulation of a the real thing who has been dead for ages and is now just a brain in a jar in the basement. Anyways, even though this is massive spoilers, Kara No Kyoukai is both a wild and exceptional ride. It's by UFO table, and was adapted as a series of movies prior to them doing Fate Zero or UBW. I strongly recommend it, though it's also on crack 90% of the time.

@klobrille Hearing that most of the studio was working on SD2 instead of the new game seems out of this world, why would they do this? How many are still playing and paying for the game to justify it? Did MS vet this decision? Imagine R* having most of their studio on GTAV instead of GTAVI.

@ivancantmiss @nostalgiaa A lot of scenes cut from Scary movie 3 were like this, funny but too detatched from the plot, even for what may appear a crazy movie, is better to maintain a certain plot integrity. I remember reading Craig Mazin talking about this for SM3.
