Ms. Aho, Ms. Canania, Mrs. Halim, & Ms. Kickham attended a two week workshop over the summer covering STEM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Mathematics) topics. Today they shared what they learned and gave great suggestions to the staff on how to apply these strategies. Thanks!

I have to share my fifth graders’ work today. This was the door they created for our school spirit week. I am so proud of how they were able to work together and give everyone a voice and a purpose in this fun task! #proudteacher

Along with the rest of America and the world, I am still feeling and processing a lot right now. However, one thing I know for sure is that I am proud of my students. I am proud of their questions and awareness the day after an attack on our government. They give me so much hope.

Today’s events can not be ignored tomorrow in our classrooms.

As I hear commentators reminding us that @SarahFuller_27 was the only option for @VandyFootball. I want to make sure we all remember that just a few years ago even a division one soccer player may not have been seen as an “option” simply because she was a female. This is a big.

PSA: Stop saying that you teach ‘the low kids.’ There are no low kids. Maybe low support, maybe low learning environments, maybe low curriculum and maybe even low teaching. But, there. Are. No. Low. Kids.

First day back in virtual teaching and my laptop dies in the middle of a writing lesson. I was back on in less than a minute. However, my kids thought it was the funniest thing and it was a good break for them to reengage in the lesson. If only I had planned it.

Since the @StLouisBlues won the Stanley Cup 1 yr ago today... In December of their championship season the Blues were near last place when 2 players fought at practice. What happened then? They got a puppy and went on to win the Stanley Cup. Morale of the story? Get a puppy.
