Nikola Tesla wasn’t just a genius; he was also deeply fascinated by the number 3. He would walk around a block three times before entering a building and insisted on doing things in multiples of 3, like using 18 napkins at meals. While quirky, these habits reflected his meticulous nature and an extraordinary mind that saw patterns and precision in everything—perhaps the secret behind his brilliance!

How a Simple Pendulum Proved the Earth Rotates: ✍️ In 1851, Jean-Bernard-Léon Foucault demonstrated Earth’s rotation using a simple but ingenious experiment. He suspended a giant pendulum in the Panthéon in Paris, and as it swung, the pendulum’s plane of motion appeared to slowly rotate. This effect, caused by Earth’s rotation beneath the pendulum, became known as the Foucault Pendulum. It provided the first direct and visual proof of our planet’s rotation, captivating both scientists and the public.

The Higgs Boson was predicted in 1964 by Peter Higgs and independently by other physicists like François Englert and Robert Brout. Despite being a cornerstone of the Standard Model, it took almost five decades to experimentally confirm its existence.

Solid-state relays, also known as SSRs, are widely available on the market, for any voltage or current rating. Why make one, then? Because it is sometimes useful, in terms of cost-effectiveness and PCB space constraints, to incorporate one right into our circuit. In this article, we’ll see how to design it with discrete components elektormagazine.com/articles/high-…
