@mwurzer I guess the demarcation point is - are they using their own listings, or other IDX listings? Their listings - fine. But I’m talking about vendors that are out there allowing it with full MLS listings. But also the brokerage should be able to set limits on their agents usage.

@EricStegemann Without specifics, this is a hard statement to agree with. Shouldn't members be able to vibe code whatever they want with the MLS data for their own use? Put another way, why does an MLS member need an IDX license to vibe code a tool?

Brokerages need to stay ahead of the tech pace, but need to better work with MLSs on the usage of the data. We simply can't have tech vendors that allow agents to vibe code some new tool using IDX data. There needs to be better compliance tools, TODAY.

@levelsio @Cloudflare Agreed. We can’t even get access to our bills. We have 700 domains, were one of the very first enterprise / multi domain clients since 2013, and can’t get much transparency in the billing.

I love @Cloudflare but it's getting to AWS levels of mysterious billing I have no clue which site has "Smart Shield Argo" enabled and since I have like 200 sites in Cloudflare, I have no way to figure this out There's also no Argo in Usage, and apparently I been paying this for months now without even wanting or using it 🤷

The main thing I miss on Cloudflare is a single [ Block IP ] button It boggles my mind it's not there, you can see a traffic spike and a person doing 50,000 requests per minute, but you have to write a security rule and go through 10 steps to block it Too difficult Just let me [ Block IP ] from the Security Analytics or general Analytics dashboard @daneknecht @eastdakota

All my small plane pilot friends are big mad at @starlink today. Their plans just went up 5X in price overnight, and the data included went from 100GB to 20GB. I know it's a small group of people, but this is causing many to cancel this service as it's now cost-prohibitive especially with the lower bandwidth service. Starlink was a complete game-changer for being connected from a small plane, and I think it would be cool if they left it where it was so normal folks in piston aircraft could enjoy it, and reserve the higher-price tiers for turbine aircraft speeds, 300+mph. It's got to be the tiniest revenue difference for SpaceX either way, but it's a world of difference for safety and connectivity to the American general aviation fleet of small planes. cc @elonmusk

On the flip side of how good the Data Dictionary with WebAPI from @RESOStandards has made things, is boards that still only have RETS. We're on hour 9 of mapping a board and still only through Member, Office, and 1 residential class @samdebord - treacherous.

@KurtSupeCPA Comments like this are so comical and dangerous. How much property value increase. And accumulated principal over 5 years. So what’s the place worth now $700k? Also how much did the rent the prop for while not using it? How much did they put down? What’s CoC return?

Client bought a lake house in 2019. $485,000 purchase price. "We'll use it every weekend." They used it 11 times in 5 years. Here's what that lake house actually cost: $31,200/year mortgage $14,400/year property taxes and insurance $8,700/year maintenance and repairs $6,200/year utilities $4,100/year HOA Total: $64,600 a year. They could have rented premium lake houses across the country every single summer for $12,000. And kept the additional compounding in their portfolio with far less problems to deal with. They were tired of the headaches. They just listed it. "We thought it would bring the family together." The family came twice. Real estate feels like an asset BUT it can turn into an expensive hobby with a deed.
