BREAKING: Barrister Marshal Has Responded Over Allegations Level Against Him By Businesswoman Tracy Ohiri Amids $70,000 Payment From Minister Of Work MY ATTENTION HAS BEEN DRAWN TO THE FALSEHOOD BEEN SPEWED BY MS TRACY OHIRI “Indeed, the fact that you helped a viper out of a ditch doesn't stop the snake from biting you. It's an undeniable fact that I was the person that rallied public spirited individuals like distinguished Senator Ireti Kingibe, the verydarkman, Comrade Omoyele Sowore, FlagboyNg, Comrade Larry and several other comrades to her aid. “Our focus was that, on no account should state apparatus be deployed to gag free speech. It was on account of our continuous activism that Ms Ohiri is not in prison today. I led other activist lawyers to move her bail orally & even while bail was granted, there was a long standoff & a lucid ploy to send her to prison at all cost. “We eventually succeeded and helped her escape prison. Distinguished Senator Ireti Kingibe tried to broker peace and mediate but she informed me that Mr. Umahi insisted that he wasn't owing her and wouldn't pay unless she can establish the existence of a contract between them. “I spoke to Senator Umahi with Mummy Ireti's phone & he was adamant, he promised he would exhaust the full judicial process to clear his name & promised to pay her in tenfold if the court ruled that he owes her but unless that she would face the full wrath of the law. “We rescheduled a meeting and I promised to revert back upon speaking with Ms Ohiri. When I spoke with her I explained the entire situation to her and explained that she has two options; she either fights on or explore settlement. If she elects to fight on, we would fight with her but she must provide necessary evidence on core issues; I discovered that there was no single real evidence of any contractual agreement between her and the Minister, that there was no evidence that the minister ever engaged her to do any contract and that there was no evidence that the minister ever informed her that what happened to the NELAN Engineers would happen to her and she couldn't show a single evidence that she delivered the goods to the minister's house as she claimed. “Meanwhile Mr Umahi already filed several matters in Ebonyi state against her. When she eventually decided, she said she doesn't want to go to Ebonyi state and that she wouldn't mind peace. We had a follow up meeting with the Minister's lawyer, Mr Abdul SAN, the minister's friend Barrister Joseph Ekumankama, Senator Ireti, Ms Traçy, her husband and I, Marshal Abubakar in attendance. “The meeting ended in a stalemate, Ms Ohiri has a terrible temper & manner, she threw tantrums & insults at everyone in that meeting thus it ended on a sour note. We all left. when the reality of what she had done dawned on her, she called & started begging. I told her clearly, she had chosen war and advised that she gets the evidence to prove her allegations. She pleaded and pleaded that I should not abandon her. She said she can't go to Ebonyi and that she's scared of Mr Umahi. At long last she offered to apologize. “Mr Umahi insisted that he would not pay a dime unless she can show the existence of communications between them prior to 2023. I reached out to Barrister Joseph (who himself was a former minister) and he offered to raise some money if she would recanẗ the false allegations otherwise I should allow her face the music. “I informed her of the decision. I told her that I do not like getting involved in money matters because of the bad blood it normally generates. She said she can't meet them cause she's scared. I told her defamation under Nigerian law is both a crime and a tortious wrong (though I have been at the vanguard of championing the fight to decriminalize free speech but it's still the law). She admitted she had no evidence and agreed to recant so long as the court processes against her would be terminated.

100k can't really take people off poverty bro. Oloye Initiative of 500million is a good one but with that 100k per person, come back in 1 year and you will get a less than 5% success story. We have seen a lot of these interventions. They will first of all buy foodstuffs and boom it's gone. Having say 10 business with 50m each will have a better success story for the people

You have a point, but trust me when I tell you that you are completely detached from reality.
TACHA🔱🇬🇭 🇳🇬@Symply_Tacha

you’re one of the very few Nigerian politicians who built real wealth outside politics… You’ve run successful businesses both within and outside Nigeria, so i mean you understand the reality of building and sustaining a business far better than most people, including MySELF. And tHats why this kind of initiative is honestly hard to process esp. coming from you.. From someone else, it might pass. But from you sIR? it feels rather disappointing cause it comes across almost like “vote-buying” even tho that may not be the intention. ₦100,000 to 5,000 people may sound impactful on the surface, but when you really think about it, what kind of businesses can that realistically build? How many more pure water, Ewedu &pepper sellers, or even small roadside traders can that community absorb? These are already saturated spaces, and most of them don’t even lead to long-term sustainability or lift people out of poverty. If the real goal is empowerment, then it has to be sustainable. Imagine channeling that same ₦500 million into 10–20 already existing, viable businesses within your constituency. Businesses that are working, that just need capital to scale.. With your experience, you can identify and support them properly. Those businesses grow. They hire more people. Even if each employs just 5 additional staff, that’s over 100 people earning steady monthly income, not a one-off ₦100,000 And that’s how you move people out of poverty.. And support long-term.. and as those businesses strives, the impact multiplies over years. Sir, you understand this better than MOST. That’s why this approach feels surprising. Because this isn’t just about sharing money, it’s about creating SYSTEMS that LAST. with your level of exposure and business expertise, you have the opportunity to build something far more sustainable and TRANSFORMATIONAL than this.

Tacha, I play in this MSME space. So I can offer an opinion grounded in FACTS. I first heard about Oloye Akin Alabi in 2014/2015. What he has done for small businesses in the last 20 years is not a joke. In 2018, he sent me some money to deliver career and small business related training sessions for hundreds of young people in Akure and Ibadan. He has been running small business sessions on his own ever since and even wrote two books. Micro businesses need that N100,000. More so, they need visibility. I am not here to insult you. I just wanted to offer a perspective that you might not have considered. In addition to what he is doing, could you use your platform to promote more businesses? That would be the way to go instead of criticising him. Eku ise Oloye @akinalabi 🙏🏽.

Continuation: “They agreed to terminate. It was BARRISTER JOSEPH THAT GAVE ME A TOTAL SUM OF $70,000 TO GIVE TO HER. He informed me that it's not compensation for any contract neither was it admission that they were owing her but just for the sake of peace and my mediating approach to the issue. Barrister Joseph Ekumankama is still alive and can be contacted for verification. It is to be noted that in all of this, I never sought for any pecuniary gains for myself. “BARRISTER JOSEPH AND SENATOR UMAHI CAN CONFIRM THAT EVEN WHEN MONEY FOR COLANUT AND FUEL (IN DOLLARS) WERE OFFERED, I POLITELY TURNED IT DOWN, INSISTING THAT HELPING HER FIND PEACE WAS MY ULTIMATE CONCERN. Sadly, Ms Ohiri has fought every of my Comrade & persons that stood in her defense. She throws tantrums, lie spontaneously & quickly turn friends & allies to foes. Her anger is that I could not get 300,000,000 for her. I explained to her that her initial claim was for 25 million naira. 100,000,000 is far above that and even a court of law would most likely not award her that much, even if she could establish her claim. she told me that she had her international lawyers that would help her get much more and I wished her luck. “She promised to drag my name online unless I meet them to pay her 300,000,000 and that she had lost business thus I must be held responsible and must provide her money. It's so sad that a woman we put in our best defending, at the expense of our lives and liberty could turn out to be this. We befriended a scorpion and got a life lesson. I would surely appraise the situation and take the appropriate legal actions against Ms Ohiri.

The Houthis (Ansar Allah) are a Yemeni Zaydi Shia Islamist group from northern Yemen. They started in the 1990s as a revivalist movement against corruption and foreign influence, seized Sanaa in 2014, and now control much of the north amid Yemen's civil war. They're not "part of Iran"—they're independent, with their own local agenda. But Iran backs them with arms, training, funding, and tech as part of the "Axis of Resistance" against the US, Israel, and Saudi-led forces. Houthis deny being proxies and often act on their own timing. In the current Red Sea context, they've attacked shipping in solidarity with that axis.

They were fully matured and ready for sale—his buyer had promised to come right after Ramadan. Since morning, he hasn’t been himself… it’s truly heartbreaking. Alhamdulillahi, Allah knows best 🤲
