⚠️ Meta is shutting down its Metaverse, a $80 Billion collapse: In 2021, Mark Zuckerberg was so confident in the metaverse that he renamed his entire company after it. Facebook turned into Meta. The stock immediately lost $700 billion in value. That should've been the sign. But instead of pivoting, he doubled down. Then tripled down. Then quadrupled down every single year for five straight years. Each year the losses grew. Each year the vision stayed the same. Each year fewer people cared. Peak users: 300,000. The target was 1 billion. He missed by 99.97%. 20 million headsets sold. More than half abandoned within six months. Turns out people don't want to attend meetings as a cartoon with no legs. 21,000 employees fired. 1,500 more from Reality Labs alone. And now, Horizon Worlds is officially shutting down in June 2026. $84 billion spent. The most expensive product launch in corporate history. And the legacy? A company that changed its name for a product nobody wanted, built a world nobody visited, and burned more cash than most countries produce. The metaverse was never the future. It was one man's $84 billion bet against reality. And reality won.

Boomers in 2030: ok, you were right about Iraq and Iran, and frankly everything in between, but this war with Turkey is really necessary

Nick Shirley says he is open to serving on President Trump’s National Fraud Task Force Headed by Vice President JD Vance. Independent journalists like Nick are the boots on the ground documenting evidence of fraud. Working together might actually mean these fraudsters are finally held accountable. Let’s make it happen.

@Faafo7 As someone dealing with a Info Regulator complaint for over a year now, I may agree😅 But we move from one outrageous claim to the next by certain organisations, followed by outrage, and then nothing happens. What are the quicker ways?

It will take some thorough investigating and some sharp legal minds and the two hubs of disinformation in South Africa could be put in their place. At some stage, the outrage needs to move from social media posts - to real life consequences. The first step should probably be a PAIA application into whether there is international funding going to organisations known for spreading misinformation in South Africa. On another matter, has Afriforum reported back on their claims around journalists being paid by government?

@pnwguerrilla First part he said could’ve been a bad worded metaphor. Second part of your enemy is willing to go to such lows to beat you then you won’t win unless you go lower or use such superior force that they won’t have a chance. That’s how I interpreted it assumedly

Dear Americans: "I ran" means you used your feet to quickly move from one place to another. May I ask: where did you go? "Ayran" is a yoghurt drink that is popular in the Middle East. Finally: is it so hard to say 'Iran'? Here, let me help you. Pronounce it as: ee-rawn.

After hours checking IMF publications I have NOT found ANY stating this. What I DID find? A 2025 Free Market Foundation & Solidarity study claiming BEE compliance costs R145bn–R290bn (allegedly 2-4% of SA’s GDP) and cuts growth by 1.5–3% @BDliveSA @FelthamLuke what’s happening?!

BOMBSHELL: Netanyahu accidentally reveals the REAL reason for the war. It has nothing to do with nukes. He admits the plan is to build oil pipelines through the Middle East straight to Israeli ports, completely bypassing Arab-controlled straits. It is all about money and control.
