A study needs to be conducted about my relationship with Joao Pedro and Semenyo this season. Both must be on >100 points against me for the season. Players I have owned for multiple weeks, but forget to play football when I do.

If Joao Pedro ends up not playing the 2nd game either then it’s not great, but even in that scenario it’s 12 from the Bench Boost plus another game from Verbruggen and Hill. Happy enough with that, even better if Joao Pedro starts.

Here’s a bonus point + DEFCON round up after last night’s OPTA update: 👉🏻Alderete hit DEFCON but this wasn’t enough to achieve any bonus points. He gained 1 clearance but it wasn’t one that resulted in a bps change. Reinildo on the other hand gained a successful tackle (+2bps). So the gap between him and Alderete for 1 bonus point actually increased to 3bps. 👉🏻Rogers failed to gain the 1 DC needed to hit DEFCON. Rogers actually had the second highest positive bps score in the match (25) - but was heavily let down by his negative actions: He was dispossessed five times (-5 bps), missed a big chance (-3bps), had two shots off target (-2bps) and committed a foul (-1bps). 👉🏻Incredibly, no bonus point changes occurred in the Villa game - despite some tight scoring. 👉🏻Tyrick Mitchell will lose a bonus point. His pass accuracy went from 80% to 79% in the update (-2bps). 👉🏻Cole Palmer will keep his DEFCON, Guehi failed to hit DEFCON. 👉🏻No bonus point changes occurred in the City game. Incidentally, the difference maker between Guehi and O’Reilly for 3 bonus was the swing in fouls. O’Reilly committed two fouls (-2bps) whereas Guehi was fouled twice (+2bps). A four bps swing that separated the two! Not a lot of changes to report on this occasion but hopefully some of the details here explained a few of the outcomes!
