Of my mother, who lived the most tragic life and whose burial place I don't know. Of my father who fought the Soviets and then the Taliban, and sacrificed so much. Of my little brother who died in front of me of hunger under Taliban blockade. Of that July 1999 day the Taliban came after me, the cell, the torture. Of running away and struggling to protect myself in Pakistan and Iran. Of the sweatshops, factories and building sites. Of Britain, this wonderful, great country of ours, which I owe so much to. Caversham Primary have a new Ofsted rating. Yesterday it was ‘Inadequate’, today ‘Good’, 3.5 months ago it was ‘Outstanding’. Single word judgements are a farce. I am so proud of the school we have today but I cannot help mourning the loss of the school we had under Ruth Perry.

BREAKING A primary school in Cambridge has managed to get its Inadequate grading overturned with Ofsted accepting the report is unreliable. Queen Emma School said it’s headteacher had suicidal thoughts after the inspection

And of course, the "trick" of doubling and halving is not useful when the initial calculation is so easy! The new calculation is so much harder!

This question on 2023 SATS paper is clearly wrong @educationgovuk You cannot put a square number on the line. You’ve obviously realised this so have put an option in the mark scheme whereby children can cross out a part of the question. Every child deserves compensatory mark.

Making time to play with money is a great investment. £1, 10p and 1p coins are still my favourite way to tackle place value! 😀
