I can definitely see this as "unprofessional" but this was TOP TIER CONTENT. I kinda agree with Danny since they are PARTNERED teams but at the same time... The trash talking, to an extent, gives us a rivalry between the two teams and it also brings personality to the esport.
What do you guys think about this?

Marvel Rivals is NOT a competitive game, it’s a game designed to sell skins to (mainly strategists) the community / short form engagement
Personally I think games are better with depth and a fair skill to reward curve, but a silly arcade game isn’t necessarily “wrong”

@hyjules_ I think I'm allowed to get mad in this scenario. Player doesnt say ANYTHING in ban phase. We ban CnD. They proceed to pick Peni. They start feeding so they go Squirrel Girl. They feed more. They then say "I'm not good at tank" and flame me for not swapping.

You can’t deny that strategists, and supports in general across games, are treated poorly by other roles. I gave my perspective on it as a social scientist/strat main and if you didn’t agree you didn’t have to respond. If you or others are triggered by this, that’s a red flag

People drawing comparisons like this to sexism/politics are genuinely insane. The characters are just annoying to deal with and have access to very easy tools to deal with problems in their games (dive) but they refuse to get good at using them. The devs then have to compensate for their lack of skill through buffs, further reducing their skill floor leading to favored matchups against characters that are supposed to counter them lol. This is why people have an "inherent hatred" towards the support role, it's quite literally because they whine and get what they want, it has nothing to do with fucking sexism, that is an INSANE line of thinking.

I think we should stop alienating ppl for using heroes they like. Yes poke has been meta forever & NEEDS nerfs, but ppl are allowed to enjoy poke!
dive mains should be able to ENJOY their heroes & not have all of them be ass !!

This is a hero "SHOOTER" people like this do not understand if this game was melee dominated it would be the death of it.
There is a good reason fighter genre games are highly respected skill-wise.
But they are not successful.
If you want your gameplay to be melee ONLY and you are always complaining about how you can get SHOT in a SHOOTER game, there is plenty of fighting games where no one will shoot at you, go play tekken, streetfighter, 2xko.
Whatever makes you happiest.
This will never be a melee dominated game.
And melee heroes should never be too strong.
