Pepper spray has been used on protestors at the oil refinery in Whitegate, Co Cork as gardaí try to clear the road to allow for a military vehicle to tow vehicles blockading access to the refinery. The Defence Forces' heavy-lift vehicle is at the site jrnl.ie/7009762

In the past hour, the Gardai (police) have pepper sprayed protestors at the Whitegate Refinery. Gardai removed protestors from their tractors and trucks & used military vehicles to tow them away. Currently there are 8 fuel trucks refuelling inside the refinery under escort by Gardai. Source - @corkbeo
