🚨 The Artemis II capsule reportedly has a “burning smell” coming from its toilet system. That’s a sealed spacecraft, a confined crew, and nowhere to go if something’s off. Imagine being halfway to the Moon, part of one of the most advanced missions ever built by NASA… …and the biggest problem is your burning toilet. @RT_com

The one weird point I’ve seen consistent comments about is blaming younger chasers for ruining the monetization of storm chasing when in reality it’s actually AI training off everyone’s videos lol

Everyone has a right to chase every single storm and that should never change. Just because some have fancy equipment doesn’t make us better than the newer chasers. We should educate the new chasers on how to chase the best way possible in the future, storm chasing is not dying anytime soon…
Storm Chaser ☈ob@NaderChaserRob

📢‼️Listen up!! Storm chasing is on the verge of dying yall, and it’s because of all the new chasers who have no clue what they’re doing. Yesterday, in Illinois and Iowa, that storm was moving 60, 70 mph, and yeah, we had to move pretty fast to keep up, but that’s not an excuse to just fly down interstate medians or tear down roads at 100+ mph in heavy traffic in pouring rain an wind. People are following the herd, tracking down and following chasers, breaking laws…passing double yellows, blocking roads… and worst of all, real researchers—guys like @ReedTimmerUSA can’t even get to the damn tornado. THIS ISNT A FUCKING GAME. THIS IS NOT ROBLOX!!! If we don’t stop this shit, the science, the safety, and the real chase will be gone. We must police our community better! And it’s not just about the safety… this is about survival for us as professional chasers. These new kids are giving tornado footage away for free, just chasing clout. Meanwhile, we’ve poured tens of thousands—gear, gas, Starlink, ISPTEK, all that into this. We quit jobs and built life around this. And it’s at risk now. We get the best damn shots, and then some random person posts it, and suddenly everyone uses it. If we can’t protect this, we’re gonna lose everything we’ve built

@lorigracewx @WickyDubs2 I guess everybody will just have to realize that people don't care about reality anymore. The people who spend the money are happy to let the world be fake and live in it as a fake. Nobody cares about their monetization anymore, except them. Maybe the ride is over?

@WickyDubs2 That’s what I’ve been saying. Chasers will cannibalize off each others’ potential for monetization, meanwhile the big bucks is going to the AI machine.

@Mighty__Muffins @JohnHaleWX I remember when Ryan started out, and the big shot chasers having a problem with Ryan broadcasting ANYTHING from their streams on his casts. I said it then and again now, that those guys are done because we just don't pay attention anymore. Most are professional grifters.

@JohnHaleWX I agree on this. It is more so a lot of people see the money that can be made and I agree fame and just trying to get their shit on YouTube for Max and Ryan and cltheir contracts. The problem is people are financially sinking themselves long term trying to make it FT chasing.

Storm chasing doesn't exist anymore its YouTube chasing, everyone trying to get "the shot" so they can get their live feed on Ryan's or Max's live. YouTube has ruined storm chasing and I know its hurt media brokers substantially cause chasers have made the switch to YouTube.

PSA: no one owns storm chasing. Not locals, not the NWS, not SPC, not the government local or state or federal, not live streamers, not professional storm chasers. Everyone has a right to chase, record, chase, and enjoy their storm. What they do with their content/decision to chase or not chase is up to them as they see fit and not a single sole has the right to tell them what they can/cannot due (aside from mutually agreed contracts between parties.) This BS of who can chase and who can give away their media for free is so freaking tiresome. If you choose to chase as your career, you signed up for it to be hard and get harder in the future. You do not get special privilege. You do not have the right to tell others what to do. Quit acting like a bunch of children and just do your thing. The best content chasers will find a way to rise above the rest, not complain about it on Twitter. Lock in.

@Ham_BklynWx Hence the need for a purge of all those who only care about the money. IF it were ever only about safety, and not about getting the 'money shot' they would provide their streams in the name of forewarning the public.

A tornado touched down near Will Rogers Airport in Oklahoma City. Brandon Alexander directed the driver and his friends to safety as it approached, staying calm, focused, no screaming, no panicking. This is how friends should act in a storm. Big respect to Brandon Alexander for keeping everyone safe. #okwx #oklahoma #tornado facebook.com/share/v/1CmAox…

@oldscarf1stweek The guys who are out there whining about people 'stealing their work' are facing down the public just getting sick of watching them post hundreds of threats to anyone 'stealing their work', and people just don't pay attention to them anymore. Cutting off their own noses....

Storm chasing still exist, culture has certainly changed, but saying storm chasing “doesn’t exist anymore” is a stretch. What you’re really seeing is an evolution, not a replacement. Platforms like YouTube changed incentives. Visibility, real time engagement, and direct audience connection now compete with the old media broker model. That doesn’t erase storm chasing, it just adds a new lane to it. the “get the shot” mindset isn’t new. That existed long before live streams. The difference now is scale and immediacy. People can chase validation or the dollar as much as storms, and yeah, that can cheapen the space if you let it define the whole field but why do we overgeneralize over maybe 20-30 truly full time streamers? Storm chasing isnt disappearing, the barrier to attention disappeared, I’d argue this is the golden age with accessibility to it. It has brought in more hubris, more ego, and personalities decisions, but it also democratized access and storytelling. If anything, it puts more responsibility on serious chasers to separate themselves by skill, discipline, safety, and quality rather than chasing a live stream feature. Some people will decide in the next couple months, years if they’re making a name for themselves or someone else.

@jasonpaquette2 @NaderChaserRob THIS is, in a nutshell, the entire problem with the 'chaser' community. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter how much money you spent to get to where you are. It matters that most of you have zero aptitude or training for it, and are adding nothing but DANGER to the equation

@NaderChaserRob There is actually NOTHING that would make me happier than to watch the demise of the jerks who search the internet for screenshots of their chases just so they can send threatening posts to anyone who shares a snippet. Let's transition to highway cams instead of chasers' streams

@StrmchsrHunterF And all in the name of raking in the cash. Y'all are vultures. Most beg for donations from subscribers while also searching online to be sure nobody else has dared to share your stuff. This is why most of who follow the chasers are only other chasers, and not normies.
