Insane how comfortable he looks taking these middies vs at Duke. I get the comp scaled up but he looked so timid every time he took a midrange this season, kinda strange

Cam Boozer took just 20 midrange shots in 38 gms during his frosh campaign but took 32 midrange shots in 23 gms during his 17U EYBL season for the Nightrydas per @SynergySST The lack of in-between game has been a question for some projecting him as a star after his heavy rim + 3 shot profile at Duke, but I think the middy is something Cam is capable of utilizing more often at the next level to keep defenses honest when he puts the ball on the deck and gets cut off on drives.

Much congrats to a gritty UConn team that wouldn’t give up. For all those people out there trying to criticize Jon Scheyer, he is one helluva coach and one of the class acts in our game. He played the toughest schedule and ended as the #1 overall seed. Championships will be in his future. UConn players and coaches, you have my utmost respect🫡

Reed is now guarding Boozer. Scheyer immediately has Boozer bring the ball up court in attack mode. Defensively, Scheyer switches Khamenia onto Karraban so that Boozer can help double Reed. ELITE COACHING. Soon after Reed collects his 2nd foul . UCONN IS IN TROUBLE➡️ I TOLD YOU💯

Early observations So far Jon Scheyer seems to be content with allowing Reed to play one on one. Hurley has forced his hand by placing Karraban on the same side as Reed's post ups. As long as there's no foul trouble, Scheyer may stick with this & double team selectively

I’ve only been on this side of the world for a few months but I can tell right away folks in the Oceania’s only like system basketball. The reason folks like Kendric Davis and Javale McGee are so disliked in the NBL because they are HOOPERS that get there’s outside of play calls and play sets. Had some convos with players from this way and they say if you don’t play with the concept of the coaches system you’ll never play
