It’s definitely a concern. Luis Garcia lost velo and it turned out he needed another surgery. Javier has lost velo. Yet Verlander did not. McCullers initially did not but did after flexor tendon surgery. France did but he had shoulder capsule surgery and that notoriously reduces velo.

Cristian Javier's velo is a problem #Astros He worked 92-93 in 1st 89-91 in 3rd w/ max of 91.3 He gave up a laser HR on a FB upper middle zone he threw 91.6 MPH. these velos are not MLB fastball velos for a RHP. theres no long term success for him if he cant maintain 93.

@ajgorrell1 @autocorrect2_0 Yes, this is an unfortunate fact as well. The scammers share information amongst themselves to help get rated. While truly service connected vets are given almost zero information on how to even start the process or document their service related injuries.

@InterFisting @autocorrect2_0 I retired in 2007 and this is an accurate statement. On the other hand I know vets who actually have service connected disabilities who struggled to get rated by the VA. Reform is needed on both sides.

Less than 1% of the population ever serves in the military. So maybe hush about VA benefits when you couldn’t be bothered

@MattWalshBlog Just watched it with my 10 and 7 year old. We all loved it. But, better than Interstellar? That’s a hot take.

Took the wife and kids to see Project Hail Mary. We all really enjoyed it. Its greatest achievement is that it’s an actual family movie. Not too babyish for adults and not too grown up for the kids. Reminds me of the PG movies they used to make all the time in the 80s and 90s. Very much a spiritual descendent of ET. Maybe Hollywood will take the hint and start making real family films again. It also kind of reminded me of Ad Astra, which is a massively underrated masterpiece. A slower film, more adult oriented and contemplative. That and Arrival are the best space/alien movies of the past 15 years. Project Hail Mary is probably in the top 5. I’d rank it higher than Interstellar.

Or, he falls apart and retires during the season with the remaining contract being kicked down the road giving Dana more room to work with.
